- Intel dazzled its Folsom audience on July 15, 2018 with a spectacular light show designed to feature 1,500 drones, in an effort to outdo its previous world record of 1,218 Intel Shooting Star drones. The performance displayed multicolored choreography including bright, fireworks-like orbs. A single pilot mans the entire fleet of light-emitting remotely controlled machines.

Miniaturized GNSS RTK receivers are the enabling technology for high precision positioning.
Honestly, not really. I'm a computer programmer, and really all you need is a translation and rotation matrix, then tween in between current position and next position. It sounds complicated, but if you know how to do it it really isnt that hard. What I want to see is them simulate fluid dynamics with drones. Now that would be incredible.
Lord Krythic It’s not a simple game my guy. Its real life so there isnt really an simple way to get accurate position in real world space. They also have to counter other element of nature.

To do it they need very fast moving drone which isn't coming soon

Also, for 3D you'd need really lots of drones, so that's not really going to happen.
By the way, there are first cubes with actual 3D vision made with a lot of light effects (lasers I think). There, the major problem is software since you have to render everything in 3D instead of 2D.

@@Oberkommando I already spend a lot of my time in VR. By 2025 you will be able to have a 1:1 recreation of your house and everything in it in real time inside a wireless VR headset. This would allow me to spend 100% of my time at home inside VR, and then when I go out I'll just use AR glasses. Add another 5 years onto that and they'd just be the same device so I could toggle between them. I mean today you already have people sleeping in VR, having birthday parties in VR, going clubbing, drinking, etc. By 2025, I will do most of my socialization in VR, most of my movie watching, TV watching, playing games, using my PC, and doing work in VR.
That has definitely got to be the greatest drone display I’ve ever seen.

Fireworks forever! Where is loud explosions? Tons of smoke and chaos going colors. Drone's are nice but can't beat the fireworks.
