Where were the pictures of the subway surface trolleys??? The 11,13,34,36 going to sw Philly. The woodland depot on 50th woodland ave was a huge trolley barn and bus depot.and housed all of those old trolleys. He never traveled to the other side of town... sad.

Mr. Lance you brought back such fun memories in these shots. :) I actually rode these Trolleys in my youth with school friends that for some are long gone. We were able to open a window then while riding these (not now) cars even some of the barns that housed them I can recognize . Sometimes you cannot appreciate where you are now until you see where you have been. Thank you for this wonderful trip back in time. I look forward to more of your work.

Most, if not ALL these shots were taken on Kodak Kodachrome 64. Railfans used Kodachrome almost exclusively to present these slides at slide shows. It was a color reversal film patented by Kodak decades ago and was renowned for its permanence and longevity. Unlike Ektachrome and other 35mm slide film, Kodadcrome 64 didn't shift to magenta. Also, Paul Simon made a great song about it.

I wish they would show Richmond and Allegheny where the 60 , 15 , and 73 all end at the little turn around at Westmoreland and Richmond. I live a couple blocks away and grew up there. It’s a totally different place then when I was a kid who grew up there as a kid in the mid 1980’s early 90’s . There’s still a lot of Polish people but it’s been taken over by these hipsters and artists who have really made the place unaffordable for the rift raft and our property value has gone thru the roof but are property taxes have gone up 300% in the last 7 years , but it’s still relatively cheap and I own my house so I’m happy. The only thing I miss is when we kids and we were going from somewhere to our house or to a friend house we would see all the neighborhood people especially the older ones who would sit out at night and water their little gardens or have the Phillies game on the radio while having a game of step ball or wire ball against us younger kids, alot of those guys were WW2 or Korea Vets who were just good people and raised their families with alot of those older guys being retired cops or firefighters along with alot of union tradesmen like myself , but you don’t see that anymore most of the old timers have passed on and their kids took the big money for the house that someone dumped some money into putting a third floor with a roof deck then resold it to some married couple who are nice people but there’s no interaction like it was when we were growing up everyone I walk by has their head down looking at their phone seeing what’s trending on Facebook. These kids who are 10 -14 don’t play sports as we did when we were young the three local baseball teams for the kids have a hard time getting these kids to play , their parents take them to the practices and they just don’t seem to be into it and there’s a lot of people who give their time to coach these teams , get them to the away games , make sure they have neat clean uniforms and during practice the kids I’m the outfield are looking at their phones so they aren’t aloud to bring their phones to the ball field , every parent who signs their kid up for any activities at the local rec centers must agree to that rule and sign off on that rule .

As kids, we would put a penny on the tracks of the Roue 60 trolley along Allegehney Avenue. After the trolley ran over it, we would see how much the round penny would become oblong in shape.

Старую технику в яркий цвет нужно красить,а с такими цветами только похоронную процессию вести.
Верхний ряд стекла на трамваях лучше заменить стеклами переходящими на крышах,тонированные солнцезащитные. А так смотришь,как буд то перепил
