The draw back is the gears the stock gearing is really lousy for drag times. The cars we've done have not geared yet as soon as they do they'll run them

Your willing to give up your warranty for this? That's crazy!
These engines are built pretty solid. I haven't heard much about high failure rates.
Also, I've had my oil analyzed which shows no premature wear or tear.
That and adding this doesn't not automatically void my warranty. Could it? Yes, but the Chrysler still has to link it to the added power being at fault and not the fault of their manufacturing process.
That, and if I wanted to be shady, I could unbolt this kit, and throw in my old PCM/ECU and Chrysler wouldn't be the wiser about it.
+Matthew Swezey it's as easy as unbolting... there's alot more to it than that! My comp went out, cats clogged, and O2 sensors went bad. Car was in limp mode. drove to dealer voided my warranty. Cost me alot of money. and they noted that the Supercharger was on my car (vin). So no dealer will warranty anything. now my car is older with no warranty, so now it doesn't matter.
+Chris Roca and no, I don't think 450 is worth losing your warranty. My car is now putting down over 500whp. And at 450whp that SC is probably maxxed out over 52k. And with all I have done to my car(everything possible), I can beat SRTs at the track. But not by alot.

How much would it cost to have you guys install one on my 15 Challenger R/T with a 5.7?
Hey ripp people is there anyway too make the supercharger whine louder like the blow off valve sound just curious before I buy!

yeah man i was thinking the same thing, the AWD v6 chargers use the same engine so... imagine the face on the v8 guys when they see this thing taking off a stoplight from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds

this is a 5spd car with 2.68 gearing. it's not the best vehicle to demonstrate 0 to 60. We are working on 8spd car which is a better tester.

+hogendabong hogendabong yes it pours on power but drive train math remains the same just more power. Mustang and Jeep owners will regear accordingly to round out their projects.
so if one was to swap there differential to a higher gear ratio like 3.06 or 3.73 LSD, does the tuner you provide allow you to tune the ECU with the supercharger further down the line for those gear ratios?

to make up for all the gained horse power, all i would need to update is suspension and breaks yeah? and thats not even needed? I don't need to get any other parts to deal with the power? I don't wanna floor it and have somethin snap.
how much lowend torque would you say was added? from 1000 rpm t 3500? I know, again the gearing isn't the best, but is it an instant gain off the line over stock or does it required higher rpms to feel the supercharger pull?
does it fit the 300s since they are the same engines?
The piping for the intercooler will be different, as soon as we get a tester in house, we'll set it up.

Is There Some Type Of Tune That Is Needed????
I have a 2010 Dodge Avenger R/T 3.5L. I know,I know... So that 3.5 was around for 20 years. The Avenger is 500lbs +/- lighter. I get that MTrend hated it and its fwd with an East west motor. It's solid up in the mountains and I'm generally pleased. There has to be a way to get more power. Considering the chassis was built to take all wheel drive my curiosity has me wondering if a forward facing motor rear axle and a modified trans tunnel could be done. I know the 60/70s A bodies were lighter and much easier to add big motors but why not the modern 200 platform? My question really is what kind of power could I get out of the 3.5 in a fwd configuration and could my rear axle idea ever be done? It would be wild...

Kits will be comparable in price to our other 3.6 kits, the exhaust notes sound pretty cool through the power-band.

Also, it isn't so much that this car makes the same numbers as a 392, its how and where it makes it. Where the 392's peak power and torque is certainly at relatively low rpm, the 3.6 probably has to get up on the tach before its making its power.

NovaMan 350 but the v6 is a bit lighter, it has a little better advantage. The 392 and this are making almost the same HP at the wheels.
We think the point is not 392 vs V6 - We think the point is the V6 with some boost behind it will be a lot of fun to drive. That makes all those V6 Chargers a huge value over the V8 cars. While the V6 cars make nearly as much as the V8, the V8 will never meet the V6;s MPG when not beating it up.

This is a Vortech supercharger not a Procharger - Yes anything your engine can take, this can take.
My 2015 charger sxt rallye was stolen at gun point, I just got a 2016 sxt, I am worried about burning out the engine, when it comes to supercharging vs turbocharging, is either better on the engine? I read turbo charging is better since it doesn't put much strain on the engine because it doesn't use the engine to get all that power whereas the supercharge is relying more on the engine and pushes it harder. I plan to have the car over a 100 miles till I cant use it anymore, In general does suping up a car with these types of things make it slightly less reliable and more likely to have bugs, what should I look for in terms of maintenance? Thanks

Bad thing is that the MPG and the ECO wont be accurate anymore! Cuz the engine has more air and gas going through it! And the tune and stuff wont update the eco or MPG

What is the word regarding the 8-speed ZF transmission, specifically regarding the 338lb/ft torque limit? What kind of assurances (if any) can be given about the ZF transmission?
The ZF is tougher than the numbers seem to claim, we've had 400 AWD- HP cranked on them in the Grand Cherokee program for two years with no issues. In both the V6 and the 57 models. We don't foresee an issue. Anything can break, but we've had good luck with them so far.
The third gen Bluesmobile is going to eat a lot of tires...

is there a kit for the same 3.6L that can be installed on the 3.6L Pentastar in the Dodge Journey??? It IS in the engine bay sideways so that's why I ask... the piping of the intercooler I guess would be the major issue?
There is no room for us in your engine bay, if there was there would be a RIPP kit for the FWD/AWD cars and SUVs

donwolfjr1 no I'm sorry this does not support the 3.5 engine. We have not looked into the 3.5 for a kit yet.
That's disappointing... Well, I hope you do. I don't know if there'd be a market need right away, but with a little time, I think there will be!!
It's still a consideration, there comes a cross over point where new supercharger kits start to be too expensive for depreciated cars. It becomes very labor intensive to set the vehicle up as it's gotten older and then add the SC as well. The client field becomes very narrow.

The Pentastar engine platform is very overbuilt for it's factory application. We've sold over 10,000 kits so far and have no worries about the life of the engine long term. Our Wrangler (the first ever supercharged V6 Pentastar) has the same engine it was delivered with in 2011.

To answer your question, yes, it will work perfectly fine on a high mileage engine. Please contact Tech@RIPPmods.com, there is some tests that we recommend to do on your engine before install, and they will preface those in the email that they send you. Check out our Frequently Asked Questions video (th-cam.com/video/ZS2yF9dAkkU/w-d-xo.html) it references that there as well.
I’m stuck between this option and the sprintex supercharger
It's very simple you get more from RIPP, for example our hardware is more robust; they have a 660cfm compressor and we have an 1100cfm compressor, their intercooler taps out after a run ours is front mounted and never losses efficiency because its enough for 800hp. These little things end up mattering the most when you're in search of 10th of a second and reliability.

I have a 3.6L Pentastar 2014 Chrysler 200s. Since they are the same engines, would this work on my FWD?
ive been researching the 11-14 200's for months. no luck seems no one wants to try. i wonder if hood clearance is an issue
@@bassblaster505 not hood clearance, the charger/challenger/300 use a transmission called an 845re which is a zf8hp45 rebranded with a few changes chrysler made. Basically a german transmission. The 200 uses a 62te which is what they used in the grand caravans. There not bad transmissions you just can not tune them and honestly they cant handle more then 300 whp. The most whp ive ever seen on a 200 was 273 and that was FBO with a GOOD e85/93 tune and a few other things like a oil catch can, ripp ignition coils, metal dorman oil cooler, dorman water pump crossover thermostat housing, 180 degree t stat. In all fairness it really wasn’t and still isnt worth the time and money to put all those parts in that car as i still own it. I researched that car and did so much with what some would consider a grandpa car now that I think about it, it even has 2 12s in the back. It definitely has a unique sound with the way I have mine set up. The early generation pentastars had quirks that needed to be worked out but by god at idle. Things sound cherry. With a good exhaust setup they don’t sound bad at redline either. Raspy but not as raspy as the 2nd gen pentastar. I also like the fact the first gen is e85 compatible, That and a good engine tune is the best bet of getting the best performance out of a 200 I hate to say. I wish I could say I tried to supercharge it but the tcm would not no wtf is going on😂😂. It would still think the motor is naturally aspirated and that 62te’s first three gear ratios are very high and close together. Recipe for gearbox failure.

Trust me after owning a supercharged v6 charger and now a Scat. There is no replacement for displacement! My stock 392 whoops my highly modified supercharged v6. Both fun cars but don't think you gunna be able to hang with a 392...
With the supercharger do you have to change the rear end or change the crankshaft or any modifications for the supercharger? Since your putting out so much power could stuff break in the engine and in the transmission?

2011+ On the LX/LC platform you are goof to go from 2011-2015 right now. There was a design change for 2016.

That's technology baby but honestly by the time it's all said and done with cost and such might be cheaper for the 6.4
Not really - There are more 2011-2016 V6 Chargers on the road than all three V8 options - the RIPP Supercharger will out motor all the available V8's with the exception of the Hellcat. A kit is mid $5000 install is 800-1000. You can't really pick up a 6.4 optioned vehicle or swap for cheaper. Besides at the point a client is looking for a supercharger they are already invested into there project (rims, brakes, suspension, exhaust and TB). Our kits completes the build and gives it way more life.

Exactly! I've already done intake, exhaust, custom tune, tires, wheels, brakes...if I ever have money again (ha!), I'm looking at the TB (and really wanting the revised intake manifold on the new Grand Cherokees for that low-end torque jump), along with some chassis and suspension refinements.
After all that, I can rest happy...but RIPP and some competitors are calling my name and so they're definitely on the long-term wish list. No way would I give it all up and start over with another $40,000-odd in debt.
There is no need for the TB or the intake if you go RIPP, the output will not be cost effective.
Does this supercharger work well with a charger that has AWD? If so, this might be a good option for people who were disappointed that Chrysler took AWD off of the Hemi.
There is NO WAY that car is going to run with a ScatPack. And if you believe it will, take it to the track and show us. but I love the kit for sure.

So it's definitely possible. Probably will need some suspension upgrades to utilize that power and keep traction to the ground with upgrade tires.
So I'm going to say, YES WAY. It can run with a scat pack with the appropriate supporting mods.
+Matthew Swezey also don't forget the really crap gearing the V6 has that the SRT and Scatpak don't have to deal with. With the power we're demonstrating and the proper gear the V6 is gonna dig strong. The point is our kit gives you the option to play with authority even with a scatpak powered car.

Hi Traye, we'll offer it for the 3.6 within 3-4 months. Currently these systems are still in preproduction for testing.
How much data do you have on MPG variance?
Plenty of the Grand Cherokee and Wranglers. The Wrangler gains 2-4MPG hwy on 35-37in tires some have claimed higher, that's a safe number more seem to archive. The V6 Grand Cherokee and Durango have 4-6 mpg hwy pretty consistently with some achieve 7-8 if driven respectfully which is pretty easy to do with a centrifugal. The 6.4 SRT Jeep gets a solid 4-5mpg increase on the hwy at 80MPH.
