Yes. Especially NFR has stopped using ALCo Locomotives in mainline duties.

Why WDP engine is hauling instead of WAP7 ? This route was electrified atleast two years back. Colossal waste of costly diesel.

The so called Electricity is made from Coal by Thermal Power Plants.

@@RFBabaiDey Electric engines usually cost 20% less than diesel engines to purchase, their maintenance costs are 25-35% lower, and cost up to 50% less to run. Therefore in electrified tracks electric engines should be used. If diesel engine is used NFR will suffer financial loss. What you wrote is correct but not to the point I raised.
