I considered this once when I saw a video a couple of year ago. But as expensive as good soil is the premade balls are cheaper it seems. When soaked they are moldable as they are a mix of sphagum moss and soil. As long as wabi kusa balls are in water and use emersed plants you can grow a nice emersed growth plants without high humidity. My paludarium/wabi kusa is doing well in super ac and dry air here in Florida haha.
👍😎 Holly, love the art. Sean, how would that “big gulp” cup work as a mold? I know your probably done already, just kept thinking that while watching you play in the mud. Always fun till you realize that you gotta clean it up before someone else sees it. 🖖
@@pecktec yes but never mix in spaghnum moss. I got my first stile. Its doing good now afther over a year. And yes wrap them in moss. You will not regret that. They will start to losen up and Its not pretty when the soil stanies the setup you got it in.
Awesome video. I am glad that Holly is going to be selling her art online. I have the rainbow fish shirt and look forward to buying some wall art.
Love love Holly’s art, can’t wait to buy a tshirt.

Yeah I bet it could be fun to fill it all up and slice parts of it out.
Brick and balls is an old Rugby….. bonding game. You take a brick, tie it to your…. and see how far you can run. I never got too far.

You appear to enjoy making high-tech mud.

You said you bought it for $9 WTF is it? I am guessing it is not a coffee maker as it is too big but wtf is it?
Food processor?
Yeah it’s a little food processor. Like a blender sort of.
Huge long video, just watching making the balls without planting them 😒
People want the extra detail so I try to show what I can. I get it though. At least its all out of the way for the next part.
