    Thank you for making great edueducational stuff! Keep helping to teach this game. One day it will be hard to find any Craps tables. Getting people to know how easy Craps is will keep these tables open forever.

    I've personally never been a fan of Don't Odds. laying more to win less.. (Reverse Odds) but some people love it!
    Nicely done Jeremy! 👍🏼

      If you play the Don’t aggressively then it actually could pay off. Let’s say you do a $200 Don’t Pass followed by $1,200 in lay odds (assuming a 3x, 4x, 5x, table). Yeah you’re risking a bunch of money, but you’ll actually win a $1,200 profit if the point’s a 6 or 8 and the 7 shows before the point. Imagine winning $1,200 just by rolling a 7! You gotta have the bankroll for it though. I’ve never played, but it sounds good in theory since you’re favored to win by betting with the 7.

      I always view the odds on the don't like I view placing multiple numbers. If I go $64 across, I risk $64 to have a better chance of winning $14 or $18. It is not a direct comparison of course since it is just an inversion of likelihood vs consequence for the pass line. I do like the flat payout of the Don't Pass and Don't Come, just like I hate the flat payout of the Pass Line and Come. Since I usually don't play for a comeout 7 (I like to have bets working - personal preference) - I am 100% in favor of infinite 11's if I have a pass line bet with a 6 and 8 working :)

      I think an adjustment would be to constantly take note of the ratio of come to dc bets that have traveled and move the odds up and down to keep the hedging somewhat balanced.
      If you have 3 come bets and a place bet, but only one traveled dc.. reduce the come odds and increase the dc odds..
      Conversely, if you have 3 dc's, and one or 2 comes, increase the come odds to 3x or whatever mathematically makes sense.
      Will keep the dealer busy.
      Easier on electronic betting or bubble craps

    One thing on this versus the original Hedgehog: part of the reason the guy at Wizard of Odds thought the Hedgehog might be good was that it was a low variability strategy with high line bets, so its good for getting comps and getting rated. Crispy Split takes away from that a a bit since you are doing lower line bets and odds bets often don't count toward rating/comps. Still, not a bad adjustment on the strategy if you're looking for a little more action but not wanting to move up to the next level with the line bets themselves.
    I am now thinking of trying out the original Hedgehog but parleying any immediate line win (7/11 on the pass/come, 2/3 on the don't/DP); that move on the DP here is intriguing.

    I don't know if you'd call this a variation or an altogether new strategy, but I play the pass line and don't pass line, then alternate come and don't come with odds. It can give you a pretty good run at times.

    Both the Hedgehog and the Crispy are variations of Play All Day. Which is a slight variation of a TH-cam video I saw back in 2016 0r 2017 that I can't find now. I not a fan of laying or taking odds on the come or don't and I would have a max limit to how many times I would bet before I won. It doesn't make sense to me to keep replacing bets that just gotten knocked off. That's how I would use this strategy.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The hedgehog pre-dates the play all day. Can’t speak to what you saw from 2016. There is really nothing new, with a hundred year old game. Just variations.

    VERY interesting strategy!!!
    Just a few things I would do differently:
    I would just REFUSE to put the Don't Pass bets on the numbers 6 and 8, so i would say " NO action " and IF my Don't Come hits, I would NOT parlay it, I would just COLLECT it, and I would ALWAYS PROTECT BOTH my Pass Line, Come bets and Don't Come bets, even though I KNOW you DON'T like to do that!

      I totally get that even though you’re favored 6:5 to win a No 6/8. I’d probably not lay any odds on No 6/8 and I always hedge my even Don’t numbers with hardways.

  • @shantytownbrown
    @shantytownbrown 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I may try this but vary it by just taking right side odds on the 6/8 and dark side odds on the 4/10.
    And no odds on the 5/9
    Be curious what others think of this idea.

    Everyone! Learn to Play at Craps!! The odds of winning in Black Jack are about 4/5ths to flipping a coin - Craps is about 2/3 or less to winning! Those biggy Casinos were not made without sellng fun and entertainment!

    The don’t come seems like one of the worst bets on the table to me. Your most likely to roll a 7 and lose it before it gets set. And if you don’t roll a 7 your most likely to hit a 6 or 8 which are highly likely to be rolled again. You lost a lot of money because your don’t bets went to the 6 and 8 and got knocked off.

  • @chazdoherty635
    @chazdoherty635 หลายเดือนก่อน

    This would pay better if the dc was just increased with no odds. Also decrease the odds on line and come so you profit on a 7 or repeated point hits.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      the larger DC may pay better, but you have a larger amount at risk, when the bet is a huge underdog (come out roll) With odds, it lowers the overall house edge on the combined bet, and only adds the additional money, when the bet is always at the advantage to win vs lose. So pick your poison.
