    I'll be honest, I've never been a believer in the Elvis Jet project, but now I'm starting to see the light a little bit. Still a long way to go, but you have something good going, keep it up!

    Thank you for taking this past memory that was connecting to millions. I remember listening to his music. Yes, I cried to some. It's sad that the family did not support you even though they sold it. I pray that they will later. Yes, I know it will bring up mixed emotions. We lost Elvis to soon. I wish someone could have helped him. Ok, continue to bless people. Looking forward to seeing the end result.

    Jimmy, I'm a retired F-111f crew chief 0f 14 yrs. To make your project go quicker, get with a local airport a/p mechanic who can help you with the technical issues of your conversion!! 🎊 lol Ms T Ellis.

    I must admit that when you first brought that bad boy, i questioned your decision. But as the vision eventually came together, I must say that it has not only been highly entertaining, but I'm thrilled you bought it! Best video series, yet Jimmy! And grizzly is the man! Your of course, are a man-child!

    I hadn't thought about it much, but clearly there going to be a lot of things to do to make this a safe and properly functional driving Elvis museum. Cut power to the heaters, rig various controls and sensors so they don't show errors, you need an avionics specialist to manage all that!

  • @Starsnu1
    @Starsnu1 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    As Jetstar5224 said, find the CB for that AOA heater and the Pitot Static heater CB's and pull them yes, but also collar them so they cannot be accidentally reset. It is so cool to see the progress on this iconic airplane.

  • @jetstar5224
    @jetstar5224 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

    Also, I'm so sorry Grizz burned his hand! There should be a DC circuit breaker in the cockpit labeled "AOA HTR" that needs to be pulled.

    I think this is amazing!
    I actually heard someone talk about how mad they where that it’s not preserved in a museum and that you “destroy an important rock n roll gem” when I said “I think it’s an amazing idea, don’t judge him. You don’t have the money to buy it nor are you never gonna see it in “said museum” guys. Atleast it’s going to see more life than just rotting up”. And they actually ended up being on my side and I suggested they check your videos 🤘

    Jimmy, its no longer the "whatever" voltage it was as an aircraft!
    With the exception of the dash panel and so forth, just change everything over to 12 volt and leave the wires.
    It don't matter now, its not going to leave the planet anymore.
    Otherwise, if not for you, Rebuild Rescue and Outdoor Boys, life has no meaning!

    G’day from DOWNUNDER. You make these videos as entertaining as ever Jimmy. I’m hoping to get to the USA later this year to do parts or ROUTE 66 and go to a few aviation museums and airshows. I’ll need to try to catch up!! By the way, a bushies solution to burns (as long as you don’t break the skin) is to use Vicks VAPOUR RUB liberally on the burnt area!! I’ve proven it many times and carried a jar of Vicks in my flight bag for many years. The shorter the time from the burn to application works best and essentially ALL pain is gone in about 15 minutes. I’ve proven this too many times. Cheers Keith

With all the "holes" in the instrument panel from components being removed over time, are you going to try to find replacements to fill those holes so the cockpit will look at least complete as it was during it's operating years? Seems that would be a proper visual effect during the touring days? Hate to see empty holes in instrument panels!

ROFFLMAO what was that experience like? With that diesel engine 20 to 40 feet behind you 😄🤣. Convertible RV 😁. After Grizzly fixed the generator you should have said "Grizzly we have an APU" instead of we have a generator lol. That thing definitely could use a sunroof or 2 lol so it won't be so dark back there in the passenger cabin cuz I prolly wouldn't wanna just change out those bulbs with some new fangled led bulbs lol I'd prolly wanna leave them just as they are as long as they work and even then id prolly try to find a proper replacement if they blew out lol. Great vid as usual 👍 ✌️

    Someone may have said this already but just convert the bus to use 24v, new starter new alternator, that should simplify the whole system so it’s all on the same voltage, just a thought

    Hey, I'm looking to start building a kit plane. However I'm unable to find the kits for sale. The only ones I can find are kit fox, don't get me wrong they're nice but they're not what I'm looking for. Do you think y'all can help me out?

    If you get stumped, first check your pitot tubes for wasp nests. Long time A&P mechanic here.

    Congratulations Jimmy. Great progress on conversion of the plane to RV. What is the next step towards driving on wheels with an engine connection to the drive mechanism?

    Ok, the wing stubs need to be painted jet black and have some matching Elvis Sideburns hanging off them….

    I don't know if Ron Strauss is still alive, but he flew Elvis the last couple years.....maybe he could help you some way with the buttons & tell you what they are.

    Jimmy you need to utilize the APU switches and control as means to operate the diesel generator. Its only proper to put as many switches and relays and circuit breakers to use as possible.
