The X5 3.0D Sport facelift 6-gear auto is the one to go for (2005-2006). Bullet-proof engine and gearbox. Superb driving experience on and off road in all conditions.
Sports model is optional. Stock is more comfortable on bad roads. Facelift started at late 2003. I have both, facelift and prefacelift. Both are good cars if very well kept. Prefacelift actually have little bit better awd system wich works 62% at rear and 38% at the front.
From 2010-2016 I had an 06 4.4i and loved it. Door handles jam, window motors break...gaskets get leaky, transfer case gets stripped if you drive it off road, water pump may go...other than that it's pretty good from my experience
@@bmwx5130 No, it isn't. Just cut out cats and weld the exhaust. But there are some drawbacks - car will be a bit louder and maybe there can be some problems with passing technical inspection if theres a lot of smoke.
@@karliszemitis3356 vairs nav, bet 3 gadus nobraucu. Ļoti labs auto, bet vājā vieta ir tieši kārba. Pēc restaurācijas vairs nebija problēmu un tika nobraukti 50k. Facelift ir nedaudz patīkamāks tieši dēļ jaudas un griezes momenta. Detaļas arī ir pieejamākas un lētākas. Ja prefs ir bez rūsas, labā stāvoklī un par labu cenu, tad protams var ņemt, bet jāatcerās, ka kārba var pievilt un restaurācija maksā ap 1.4k.
@@riborickertt that's a lot, but that's because of the 5speed automatic gearbox. With the six speed there's a little bit less rpm. It's kind of loud when accelerating, but not loud on constant speed. It's louder because of cat delete that previous owner did. I like the sound.

@@carguy0446 I live in my X5 full-time year round, exploring wild regions on and off road. They are very capable vehicles with bags of interior space.

How did u get that sound on the exhaust because it sounds quite different.
Previous owner did a cat delete. It sounds quite good.

Hello! At 100 - 2200rpm and at 120 - about 2600-2700rpm, i think.

I have a 550i with a 4.8 V8, so i know what you mean, but for daily driving 3.0d is much more efficient.
