    Mike thanks for the videos, I like the way you teach, made me go out and buy a garmin unit that side scans and live scope, wish I could get you in the boat to help me set it up properly.

    This was most helpful video, most people will get right to the meat of the matter and show fish then start the catching. Glad to see you did all the scanning and the comment "you may scan for hours" the side scanning is new to me so I have been dismissing it as I don't know what I'm looking at but watching yours I can tell there has been no crappie on my side scan and I should continue the search THANKS!

    3 pounder! Sounds like something I would say.😆 Glad I found your channel. You are very informative and I have learned a lot. I also discovered that I have a lot more bandits in my tackle boxes then I realized. I'm just bought them over the years not knowing they would be good so good for crappie trolling. I haven't been much of a troller over the years but I'm certainly becoming interested in it now. The crappie are staging in the creeks and I've actually managed to catch a few trolling a bandit. Thanks

    Dudes pretty slick slingshotting that bait up under those docks!!! And the owner or whoever came out and asked if he was having any luck! Nice people! I must just run into all the rude people bc they come out screaming at me telling me how they own that property and I can’t fish there lol 😂😂😂
    One lady asked me if I was doing catch and release after they saw me catch several nice bass and Sacalet. I said, yes mam…. I’m releasing them right here in my live well 😂😂😂😂

    Pause.... When you see a person grab a Crappie with Thumb and the tips of the 1st 3 fingers that's a sign you are watching someone that has caught DROVES of those Moe Foes.. LOL.. That's all I had to see was you grabbing the 1st fish and I said just let me Subscribe. LOL..

    Great video. Thanks for taking the time to show how you are using your electronics to find fish. The screen shots of the side imaging are very helpful to me since I've only been using side scan for less than a year.

    Great job Mike. Always enjoy your videos. Good looks showing the views of docks of no fish as well as the views of some docks with some fish. Very real and informative. Looking forward to part #2.

    Hello Mike, love your videos. Still new to side imaging and trying to learn.Quick question.
    When you’re scanning the docks you point at the black part of the screen to find fish( water column) I always assumed the black part was directly below the boat?Am I incorrect. Just wondering how you see fish in the water column if it’s below the boat but the dock is beside the boat? I hope you can understand what I’m asking?

    • @MikeBakerVideos
      @MikeBakerVideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The black part is not always right under the boat. Depends on the water depth.

      Thanks for the reply buddy, I actually sent a pic from your video to a buddy that showed fish on the water column on the side imaging view but in the same picture didn’t show fish on the down view. He was explaining how the cone is wider on the side imaging than the down.😂 It’s starting to come together. I’ve learned as much from your videos as anyone person has ever taught me! Thanks. Love the videos on tying rigs, pole holder out of lattice, and how to secure your spider rigs. Simple things but a wealth of knowledge for someone like me. Thanks again. Keep em coming! Would love to see a video on finding schools of fish in open water with side imaging and then locating on down!

    Enjoy here so much but someone, please, explain what we’re looking at on sides can and live scope. I don’t have either but plan on purchasing and I have no idea what I’m looking at.

    Mike, on your side imaging, you point to fish in the black area, not gold area. Isn't the black area under the boat, not under the dock?

    • @MikeBakerVideos
      @MikeBakerVideos  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the depth of the water your in. In 30 ft of water the edge of the black area is about 25 ft. out to the side of my boat.

    Good electronics tutorial for sure! I just picked up the Garman echomaps 93SV, Trying to get used to using it on a buddies boat before I start using it on mine. Both you and him have the big hummingbird side scan, kind of wonder if I need to do that as well… Sure would cut down on time searching. Thanks for all the info! #BarFlyFishingTexas

    Love your video when will you start trolling crank-baits can we catch crappie in winter on crank baits ?

    • @MikeBakerVideos
      @MikeBakerVideos  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      As a general rule on LOZ, I like the water temp to be at least 62 before I start trolling crank baits.
