even at local city level even small cars like i20 gives 9 to 10 average. in hills it happens with every car.
I also have booking of Caren G1.5 6MT Prestige on 01.03.22..likely to get in second week of Oct. Let's see..but from many reviews I learnt it is one of the best....for value for money..!!

Bhai kya diesel variant me bhi gear waali problem hai
same with bro, I ve prestige turbo, problem with second gear while low RPM. i got milage 19 km on highway gurgaon to agra. i daily trevel gurgaon-delhi and milage is 16 and 16.5.
I too have same variant. Owner comments are exactly 💯 correct. As per latest software patch, 2nd gear issue resolved now

Is it petrol or diesel car? Is it good to have a car with a petrol turbo engine for a long time? Is it good for daily commute. My daily commute will be 10 km only. 1.5 NA Petrol engine or 1.4 turbo petrol engine which will be best. I want good mileage also and low maintenance.

Booked luxury plus petrol 7DCT. Heard like hill climbing issue, a/c water stagnant on the roof, any other issues which you've come across. Is it worth to spend around 22lakhs?
if you have budget of this much then go for xuv700 Ax5 variant why go for carens then? it gives you safety, powerful engine, great features, great rode presence, and its a lot better looking then carens(though looks can be subjective) and waiting for this variant is the same as carens and one nore added bonus is xuv mileage is also better

Please ask owner to remove both front seat covers as both front seat had air bag which will be obliterated under seat covers and will not open if their is any impact.

Hi bhai , i have the same variant, i also have the same problem which brother has said , 1st and 2nd gear lag is so bad that my car has stalled on the incline a couple of times , brother can i get in touch with the owner as I need to know what he has done , as we arr demanding the company to change the car and they are assuring that the company is looking into the matter as many complaint s have come regarding the same issue in this variant only
Hello bro, I’m the owner of the car. The company has talked about the update of the ECU. You can talk to service centre regarding the update.
@@delhiitteaashish a few days back they had called us at the service centre and done some upgrade , and they have told us that if still the problem dosent gets solved then they might think about call back of the car , this is whatvthey have assured , because the problem of this gear lag and pickup is quite big , and going on hilly ateas seems a nightmare to us , kindly be in touch and do let me know what response u get , i have still not driven the car after the update , as my brother had gone to the service centre ... will also post my feedback after i drive
@@mansoorchhapra608 Sure bro. I have been in touch with few people who are having the same problem, post update there were mixed responses from the people. Some said the issue has been resolved completely while the others said that the problem has been 70-80% resolved. I personally cannot comment on this because i still haven’t updated it yet. I will try to update the car soon.

Recently got a chance to travel around 1200 km in Kia Carens. Few points,
halogen headlights are rubbish on Highway, ok in single road without oncoming traffic.
Diesel engine is refined, negligent noise
AC is very good.
Engine is less powered, saw the driver shifting to low gear for overtaking. I think it has 250 nm of torque, which is less for 6 people load
Halogen light ki wajah se to carens le nahi paya ab tak.. aur led itni mehngi h inki.
And about mileage- yes, i feel company has fooled us as my car gives mileage of only 7.5 kms in city
not at all, i am getting 19km on highway and 16 in delhi to gurgaon and in gurgaon it is 14km / lt

For the first and 2nd gear lag, Kia has isssued a firmware upgrade. Please ask the service center and raise a ticket with Kia.

High hill or down hill always apply 1 gear ..who goes in 2nd gear in up hill or down hill ???
In kia carens manual or automatic no problem at all .. truly speaking who doesn't know proper driving the car kindly don't drive .. unnessary don't blame manufacturer .

For all the people owning turbo petrol 1.4
I also own the same model and had the same 1st gear and 2nd gear issue. It was like buying faulty car.
I complained to the company by mail and after some days I found that, this problem is there in all cars with 1.4 turbo.
But now, before 4 days, the company called the cars who were complaining and provided an update after which 1st gear problem was almost solved but 2nd gear problem has not been solved completely.

I bought prestige and it mileage is really very bad in city it gives about 7 but in highway about 18
I have bought Prestige plus diesel Carens in April 2023.
I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS TO BUY.
Headlight worst - Can't drive on highways at night.
Build quality - really bad.
Torque ( pickup) - worst
Company said mileage is 23 but even on highways it gives only 18.

Xl6 is not bad option
Caren should compare with safari xuv700 alcazar MG hector. Don't compare with ertiga xl6.

I'm going to buy an XL6 Zeta AT and Kia Carens is nowhere comparable to it as XL6 is a feature rich VFM product. I'm getting XL6 Zeta AT for 14.3L whereas Kia costs 17.5L for Automatic variant, not worth it, I don't like Carens' look either.

Panoramic sunroof Dena chahiye tha , every family loves panoramic sunroof.
AC vent pillars mein dey dena chahiye.
Yeah everyone loves panoramic sunroof but the biggest issue with that is because of the large sunroof, its base is not hard but is like a curtain because of which the vehicle does not get cooled as per the requirements.

The owner is absolutely hopeless. Points out so many problems from Gear Box to Light to Safety Ratings yet in order to satisfy himself for spending 16L, he keeps on barbing that Carens is better than Ertiga and XL6. The fact is that it is not.
Safety cant be excused but they tried their best on features part, headlight is issue with all hyundai kia cars. Sometimes perfect cars dosen't exist you have to make it perfect
