I'm kinda under the impression they are actually half brother/sister. That her 'father' and his 'father' are the same, and she just assumes hes her father.
Thought he was an NPC from the game at first when he was introduced, but it was fun that Ainz pretend to be Aura's summons to have fun during the battle 😄 🤣👌💯
To be honest. The Elf King, Decem Hougan, reminded me so much of another Great Elven King, Thranduil from Hobbit, especially the wood crown, and the white long hair. This makes me wonder if he's father, King Hougan of the Eight Greed Kings, was a big fan of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings series?
Before Decem screwed up relations with Slane, they were likely friendly, or at least in a threeway standoff between the Dragons Slane and Decem. This means that wiping out the Elves would have involved attacking Slane too. Allowing the Theocracy and Decem to weaken and either wiping out or negotiating from a position of strength with whoever is left may have been a better idea from their perspective.
@@SarevokRegor I don't think the Elves and Slane were ever friendly but I agree that from PDL's perspective neither needed immediate attention and having them weaken or destroy each other was the preferable way.
I wonder how the fight between Decem and Zesshi would have gone if he'd still been at full strength. I mean it was fun that he got minced after losing his pet but that was both too fast and he didn't have a chance.
Considering that zesshi could use the Goal of all Lifr is Death AND summon an Einherier Kopy of herself, I still would say that zesshi would have won, TGOALID would destroy Behemoth and Zesshi and her Copy the Elf King himself.
@@schaargock TGOALID only helps if you can time it right with another instadeath attack. She'd priobably be able to do that. One of the weaknesses of Decem is probably that he seems to not use some of his better items out of sheer arrogance so he's probably lacking in equipment compared to Zesshi. So yeah, she'd probably still win.
What makes you think Ainz is not? Ainz is lawful evil. He is evil that follows a certain rule and restrains himself. He rewards good work and punish bad deeds. He gives warning and people a chance before he does harm to them. Ainz killed a lot of people but those people he killed are all who had been warned to not go further. He doesn't kill people for fun, only for logical reason. What you could compare the elf king to is Clementine or Renner or Demiurge.
@@reianvase6683 Ainz isn't a decent being lol. Lawful evil is still evil. He doesn't restrain himself at all, he does whatever he fancies depending on the situation.

The elf king had so much potential to be a cool character, all strong and wise as a ruler should be. However, his personality and the amount of knowledge he has made him, in the words of the author himself, a weak villain. He was set to be this type of character, which I find reasonable but still regrettable. As the author stated, his upbringing led to his downfall as it made him very arrogant. A truly depressing end for a truly pitiful character.
Imagine if he hated his father and wanted to create a better world they would be ready for Ainz and others somewhat and create a permanent peaceful rule of a kind player
He's actually pretty strong as a summoner but with a build that specializes on having only one summon. IIRC Path of Exile has some builds similar to that where you have few summons but they are a lot stronger. He himself isn't that strong but compared to most inhabitants of the New World he's still pretty overpowered.
Elf truly has known PAIN from his encounter with Ainz then known PEACE from his Daughter Zesshi.
Antilene introduced him to even GREATER PAIN when she slowly crushed his bones.

Elf King is the reverse-Ainz in pretty much every way.
He's like the Elf Prince from How Not To Summon A Demon Lord but even more disgusting.
I wonder why haven’t PDL dealt with him long ago. Didn’t his dad genocided the Dragons?
Decem isn’t his father though, he never attacked the dragon lords and he keeps himself pretty much secluded to the area around the elf kingdom
Because Elf King is contained to one area. Yeah, he intends to branch out, but he knows he can't do it on his own.
