There is NO question about it. They are as good, if not better, than a lot of other groups out there today. And the fact that 8 amazing musicians meld together into a world-class jazz ensemble is even more impressive. The rest of the globe has fallen asleep at the wheel when it comes to the fantastic jazz/funk scene in Japan. And it has drawn quite a few expats who are extremely talented also, making the mix even more impressive. They would fit in very nicely at Birdland, Blue Note, Smalls. The Bitter End and The Village Vanguard and would have brought the house down at such venues as The Cotton Club and The Apollo.
I watched the archive of this show, and I swear I could feel the love these ladies shared with the audience from that stage. Nothing short of amazing. ❤🥰❤
The longer the Avengers stay together, the better they get. I like how they are now a show. Really entertaining. Chizuru and Juna add some extra spice to an already great sound.
To overseas fans Senri, Wakana, Miku and Chizuru appeared on the live radio broadcast (J-WAVE) this morning and performed 'UNITE' in the studio. And Senri answered her willingness, "We want to perform overseas." From Japan
Miku is just one ball of pure energy -- once again, like always. And Juna again shows why she is a world-class bass player. Great band! Really positive piece of music. Thank you!
One thing (out of many) I love about this band is how every one of the musicians eventually gets her time to shine. And they're all so incredibly talented!

This band is top-notch! The way they raise the level of excitement with huge smiles is really great to witness. Every single player is excellent. I have really taken to their style of playing. It's very clear to me they are dedicated and multi-talented not to mention drop-dead gorgeous.
Amazing group of ladies, would be awesome if they did a collaboration with Tachibana SHS marching band or their wind club. Would definitely be a surreal experience. The lady with the sleeveless top on the alto sax needs to have at least one hand supporting her sax at all times, as it is being held to her neck strap by a metal ring that can break easily, which will damage the sax and be an expensive repair bill. I’ve seen a lot of sax players make that mistake.

Although the genres are different, just like BAND-MAID's US tour is a success, the members of The Jazz Avengers and us Japanese fans must be hoping for a successful overseas performance. I hope that many American fans will ask the agent. For reference, BAND-MAID's agent is UTA (United Talent Agency). I watched TJA live performance last month, and I am even more impressed day by day.
I think they could break on the international market, especially at jazz festivals, world beat/folk festivals (so-called 'folk' festivals have a lot of bands of all genres from all over the world) and so on. They are starting to look more relaxed and energized, getting tight, etc.
