How to install a LED sewing machine light

  • ** NOTE** I made a mistake on my instructions. The clips are for the cord, not the light strip.
    I just discovered this amazing strip of LED lights for my sewing machine. It was so easy to install. The light strip is adhesive and has clips to hold the cord in place.
    If you make sewing videos, you need this!!!
    Here is the light strip that I purchased: Wenice Sewing Machine LED Strip Light: amzn.to/2Jrkpfv

    I was confused about how the clips are to be used, so I watched another video. The clips are for holding the cord in place around to the back of the sewing machine. The adhesive on the light strips is strong enough to hold it in place without the clips. In the other video it also showed how you can change the brightness of the light strip by holding down the ON button until it is the desired brightness is achieved.

      Pamela Weston Thanks for confirming what the clips are for and for the dimming feature 👍🏼Can’t wait to install mine.

      @@Dulceknits thanks for watching. Instead of attaching my lights to the back of the machine, I attached my clips and lights to the underside because I make stitching videos and needed more light for my viewers.

      mywithallmyart ok... thanks...I also installed my lights towards the back as the lights are very bright.

      I agree, the clips are for the cord.

      Be sure to follow the package instructions. I used the clips wrong.

    The Clips are only to be used afterwards on the Cord..NOT THE LIGHT itself. The lights have their own sticky adhesive.. You don’t need the clips for the lights...ONLY THE CORD! Check out other videos to see how it’s done.

    Im happy with my light strip. However, I am very light sensitive aid I had to run the extra lights around the back of machine. I also used scotch tape to hold it

    I have some of these lights but, I was afraid to put them on in case I wanted to upgrade my machine. I wondered if I could remove these easily and reuse for another machine. Any idea?

    • @mywithallmyart
      @mywithallmyart  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't tried removing them or reusing them. I just bought a new strip for my new machine. But I guess if you were able to remove it you could use double stick tape to reapply. Gorilla makes strong 2 sided tape.

    I think the lights on inside side, would bother my peripheral vision.

    • @mywithallmyart
      @mywithallmyart  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If that would bother your vision then don't use it.
