The very first rule of filing is : "file works only when it moves forward direction, so put pressure on file during forward motion, return backward should be no pressure"
Ok to not lift the file on returning stroke when filing thin workpiece you dont wanna loose the feel for the angle just dont press on the return stroke
Beautiful. But two wrong are there:- 1) Draw filling procedure. 2) Always use anvil while chipping. While chipping never use surface plate as an anvil.
Bolt your vice down hard on the bench,Use vice jaw protectors to avoid scratching the workpiece. You are rubbing the file on the work piece, The file cuts on the forward stroke only, you lift the file on the backstroke. Draw filing is when you move the file 90degrees to the workpiece, i have never seen anyone file the way you demonstrate the draw file. You use the wrong side of the square, the accurate parts of the try square are the inside edges, you do not use the outside edge. i am a UK trained Mechanical Fitter for over 40 years Maybe you do things different in your country.
What i know 1.you can file back forth for when you want very precise work where you dont wanna lose the feel or sense when holding a file. But yes a better way to preserve the file is to file forward with moderate pressure at moderate speed to prevent work hardening 2.the workpiece should be lowered close to the jaw of the workpiece so when you file it wont chatter or squeak caused by the leverage of the workpiece being raised as it tends to brean the tip of the file teeth it may not be obvious but its there making your file cut inefficiently and leaving bad surface finish 3.use the full span of the file as much as possible except the tapered end in most case to evenly wear out the file 4.move your body and lock your hand near your torso for general filing or use whatever position you feel comfortable as long you can get the work done precisely.Though i dont reccomend stroking your hands for a long period of time 5.filing also takes patience very precise work can be done with hand tools if you have been doing it for a long period of time take a rest and think of how to get it done by imagining it for a day or two Not being a comment warrior but hope yall can take it as a reference 😄

hi mam... your work is so precise and perfect... which reveals that in your kitchen also you will make the chapati exactly in 360 degree sharp.. very nice... thanks for the tutorial
Marking step is wrong.. you have to remove that rough surface before marking . Otherwise that surface will spoil the height gauge marking tip which is really expensive and you will not get proper dimension if that edge is blended.

What are the practical/ real life application for metal fitting?
Please provide subtitles
So we can understand at 2* speed 🙃✨
yeah i want admin to provides subtitles because it is really hard for me to understand your pronounciation
Very helpful mam
While filing you should only apply pressure on forward stroke. The file cuts only forward stroke not back and forth like you're doing in this video.
23:20 wow! what a cutting edge tool
While filing i suppose u should not place ur pointing finger below the file as it may get hurt when it hits the workpiece by mistake
Magnificent ❤
Maa'm ur great instructer ....
Center punch used in drill operation. Not dot punch
Appreciable Efforts ✌️

Hard to watch you killing that file.
How did she get her certificate?
Firstly her English
Then her deburring skills
Then her clamping in the video
Then her position (why completely unnecessary)
Then her filing skills
is killing me.
