It's much, MUCH worse than that. The lore for the season has explicitly spelled out that the Empress came here to negotiate with us from the very start, and knew the only way to get US to do so AND her own forces to agree to it was to engineer a loss for her OWN side. That it also revealed traitors in her ranks was a plus, but the way it happened almost ruined her plan entirely when they tried to kill Zavala.
I like how Osiris spent all of this season going on about how the cabal are unwise, but then his first instinct on seeing the crown that screwed over everyone the last few times people tried to use it is "hmm, yes, let's put it into the city. what could go wrong?". meanwhile Caital is giving the sensible option of destroying the shit out of it.
Here's hoping she's given the chance to give us advisement next season, cause to me it seems cabal wisdom trumps warlock wisdom rn
I feel Osiris lost some brain cells when he lost sagira
To be fair I think Sagira was the only one making sure he never fucked up too badly, Remember one the canon reason one of the Mercury strikes exists is because Osiris keeps trying to see what happens when he revives the boss

Osiris seems to have always been on a knife's edge between Light and Dark, from the first few moments he was first brought back as a guardian even. Osiris once explained that Sagira's name was literally meant to mean "little light". She was his beacon. Without her, I think Osiris is simply doomed to fall right into the darkness as he was always going to do without Sagira there.
His brain cells were named "Sagira"
Of course it's a bad idea. A majority of our characters interactions with osiris has been cleaning up his bad ideas.
Osiris to the Guardian : "Hey, where are you going with my crown"
Guardian (and Ghost) : *Say nothing as they throw the crown into the f*cking sun where it belongs*

Ok, here’s a theory: the Crown of Sorrow is going to play a vital role in the Witch Queen, and it might be a potential source of the supposed poison/decay Darkness element that people have been theorizing about. Note that in the Crown of Sorrow raid, Ghalran utilized a green-colored magic similar to both Thorn and Necrotic Grip.
lol I posted the same thing. Yeah I absolutley agree with you. Remember one of the dlcs after the witch queen is called lightfall. For the light to fall the hive need to get to the Traveler and well with the crown being in the tower its easy to imagine a scenario where through it Savathun takes control of the city and breaks the traveler.

Yeah, I was thinking that way too for atrophy/decay/whatever. I also think Osiris will go to the dark side and maybe he'll teach us how to wield it like Elsie and stasis.
It does add structure to Joker's theory about Savathun when we reach Witch Queen.
Definitely could be, I’m wondering if the story for the crown was supposed to play out like this or not. Cause I’m assuming season 15 was supposed to be when Witch Queen was supposed to come out before it got pushed to next year. So could be for S15 or Witch Queen imo

I think somebody should tell a certain Titan about this so he can have strong "words" with Osiris, the Titan way.
I’m going to start his initiation trial- if he survives being force fed crayons and my fist, then he’s a closet Titan , which I can respect. If he doesn’t, then he has a Titan brain in a warlock body-useless.

But also yes, punches are an artform. Shaxx is a punch connoisseur, and his face is my canvas. I’m glad that even a warlock can see the potential in a good punch.
As you can see, I ate a book instead of a crayon today, which lets me think better and actually put my thoughts on paper. Normally it makes me too smart to not second guess myself in the moment, but I don’t really need to punch people except with my words today, so it works.

@@austindemuynck9460 You’re ignoring the part where he is scientist first and foremost, one that works on understanding the enemy and that aim was on the Vex first. Now he works towards understanding the Darkness and studying corrupted Guardians is an element to that end.
He is just more brash due to losing Sagira, the one person that was able to reach him, and believing that it is his fault that she sacrificed herself to save him due to his own mistake. Osiris is angry and depressed.

When I ran it with 2 guys in my clan, and Osiris mentioned taking it to the city, all of us freaked out in sheer terror of the implications of what could happen if anything got out of hand with it.

I think osiris is secretly trying to lure out savathun at the cost of human lives, which is also a sign of his mind being corrupted by darkness.
Honestly think there might have been some validity to Osiris being exiled, seems like Sagira was the only one keeping him in line and now he seems to be making one bad decision after another, honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up becoming a villain later down the line

@@leftkarmatwo4191 by destiny lore, mercury had “disappeared” along with titan, and io when the darkness arrived en mass. Even if it was still in play, it’d be a bad spot to put it. There’s a lot of vex traffic due to their Sol system simulation engine being there

Yes u can, you can open up to 2 chests per week
It’s one page of the lore book per smuggler hole, but if you get the rest of the pages you’ll be able to open all the smuggler holes in one Presage run.

The ending of the Gahlran thing in which thanks to the crown he sees as a collective reminded me of when Eris got her hive eyes after getting a wish from an Ahamkara bond while trapped in the Hellmouth
"I have a bad feeling about this!" I feel this was a great effort on bungie to give us a ghost story of sorts. A haunted derelict ship that had stories to tell each week. I love ghost stories
