This is great! Thanks for the info. Now I know where all those pesky cutters in my garden were coming from. I was out here in the desert trying to get rid of them when you were just down the road bringing more in! jk! But still, I can't believe I used to want to get rid of the cutter bees because they were tearing up my roses with their perfect little circular cuts they make to the leaves and petals. Now I celebrate them knowing what good pollinators they are and I'm building them a place to nest. It is so much easier to work with the natural world than against it. Thanks again, and Happy Easter to you and your family!

So cool you guys! I thought my leafcutter bees just flew away but they didn't:) I looked in my nest trays and found out there was still some leafcutter cocoons in them! I am loving these bees and they sure are fun to watch.

Hi:) Well, I am no pro at this so I would leave them in the cup until they come out. Try not to change the environment of the window seal. There is a reason putting them there:)

I think its really educational and I appreciate this - can't be the only one. I wondered what was eating my roses, and my Calendula

Enjoy watching your videos very much. You have a very nice backyard for having all sorts of things.

I’ve built a few leaf cutter bee houses and put them out in a local CSA farm. What fun!!

I just came across your video accidentally and I thought you were adorable. The love of your leaf cutter bees is over the moon. I've never heard of these lil critters, until I found some bites, well, not bites but practically the whole leaves eaten by the cutter bees half circular bites. And Im, like what the heck is eating up my vine. So, doing research I learned it was your little buddies. I have no idea where their nests are/is. I just know most of my leaves are mostly gone, due to them coming probably before dawn and taking whatever they want. My vine is pretty much just long lanky stems with little pieces of leaves remaining. But, now that I'm aware they aren't really my enemy I suppose I'll let them take all the bites out of the leaves they want. I'd really like to know however, does this continue all summer long. Will my vine ever look whole. And also, I had this vine in a pot in front yard. No cutter bees. I moved the plant during Spring to my back yard and these bees love the leaves. This has me wondering, why didn't they find this vine in my front yard? Loved the video, since you were teaching me something I've never even heard of, before seeing my non existance leaves on my vine. . How would I make a nesting home for them? A homemade one. Not all fancy like yours!!!

I'm curious. Why did you remove the cocoons? Aren't they supposed to just build nest and hatch?

Sometimes I watch trading card booster pack openings on TH-cam. Other times I watch Matt open up bee cocoons.

I knew those things were parasitic! I have a video with a bunch of bugs on my leafcutter bee's homes and there were little holes.

What can the orange pollen from these bee "pockets" be used for?

Is it okay to use plastic pipes instead of hollow bamboo stalks for Leaf Cutter Bee house?

More reminders of God's sheer awesomeness. It baffles me that people think this all happened by chance. (PS - RIP little bee)

Erin F, same here. To me order does not come from chaos. Everything is mathematical and very orderly so it does not make sense to me that all this came about from Big Bang.
