Exchanged my rulers for the invados cuz I wanted a traditional lace system and something with a little more flex. The fit length wise is the same to me, and the vans were just a touch wider too, which is what I needed
thanks for the review! I ordered a pair of the vans invado bout a month ago can't wait to try them out this season. I've been wearing some old forum boots for the last 4 seasons so I figured its time to get some new boots haha. always have loved the vans look still waiting for them to ship tho I probably won't see them till the first of November which im cool with because probably won't see snow till thanksgiving.. but im sure they'll be worth the wait.
Vans felt more snug to me, hence why it's wise to order a half size up compared to street shoes. However the Vans were soft and comfy and felt super warm. (My feet were sweating pretty quick wearing them indoors). Not sure about width because I don't need the wider size.
I was experimenting with different sizes, so make sure you order from somewhere that has free returns if you don' t have a shop near you to try them on. I ended up trying a 10.5 in the Vans as well, but thought even those were still snug. That's why I said to order a half size bigger in the Vans than your street shoe size. They all loosen up a bit when broke in though.

Great comparison! How do Vans fit in comparison to Burton boots in terms of width and comfort?
