Solid review. Need to get my rep fat wide pad video up soon

      Thanks!
That rep stuff looks awesome. For whatever reason I knew about them, but sorta stopped following them. I may get their adjustable bench.

The pad works just fine now you need to upgrade the bench itself to something that can hold a little bit more weight just to be on the safe side

Hi Jim. Great review. You mentioned the width potentially being an issue for some. How wide are your shoulders? Mine are 18” wide so I want to know if I would fit the Fat Pad okay.

Not sure how to measure, but it seems like my shoulders are roughly 22" at the widest point? Something like that. You are probably fine.

@@JS-lr8nj good to know. Thanks for confirming! I just remeasured and mine are 21” at the widest point!

The fat Thompson is all good and stuff solid for hip thrusts skull crushers but I feel for flat benching it doesn't let you have the full range of motion with the chest if that's the only thing you have it's fine still thing is super sturdy and solid doesn't move for hip thrusts it's really good also I just realized after benching with it and others is that there's more range of motion that is allowed with chest with thinnier benches but they have to be solid also and yeah I know that a thinnier bench also makes it easier to get a injury if you do it wrong but the thing is the chest pump doesn't lie with the thinnier benches there is another good thing about this bench is that's it's straight flat it's not slanted like some adjustable bench seats or alittle high from the top or anything like that but the thing is this thing isn't even approved by any federation of lifting on top of what I noticed.

How big are you? It's hard to tell in your videos, and some people can be quite large and proportioned so they don't look that big. I'm in that category but I'm 6'4" and hover around 260-280#, with a 58" chest and 7' arm span. I've always been prone to shoulder injuries and have been wondering about a wider bench pad for training. I'm probably going to make my own and I'm debating going as wide as the fat pad or if I need to go somewhere in between that and the standard 12" pad.

it was total shit when i used it , maybe im too small 270 pounds , the backs of my arms wer touching the sides of the bencn way way before i could touch my chest almost forcing me to do a board press with out a board and it takes all the power u would of had off the chest

I can totally see that. I tried to mention that this thing is really, really wide, but probably should have emphasized that, more. As I said: I consider myself a pretty wide guy and if this thing were even a little wider (like even 1") it would have been totally unusable by me. Probably not usable by 60% of all males and 99% of all females.
