Learn how to fold Sylex Drone, the menace of the skies!

Silex Drone:
MATERIALS: 8.5 in. x 11 in. paper - US Letter size
DIFFICULTY: Intermediate
THROWING TIP: Give Sylex Drone a gentle to medium-hard throw level to the ground. It should soar, twist, and roll through the air.

what are thrdifference of elanus and the sylex?
They're just two different gliders with two different folding sequences. Some people prefer one, some people prefer the other.

My favorite model of your channel ( did not nearly try them all).
It is relatively easy to fold, and it flies fantastic! European standard is a4 , so I had to shorten it a bit after folding.
If you are using a notebook paper (Asian a4) cut from the horizontal red line
Cut 2.5 cm and you should get an 8.5 x 11 proportion sheet of paper

Hi! I just wanted to tell you that when you are folding something with this many steps that the paper gets very thick, so could you please make a video on how to not make your paper too thick? Also, I love your videos. I have been making paper airplanes for a really long time, and your airplanes one of the most creative ones that I have seen on the internet. I just wanted to let you know that I liked and subscribed. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for your kind compliments. It means a lot to hear that! It's hard to give an easy answer to keeping thick portions of the model tidy (without too many wrinkles). The most obvious point is that starting with thinner paper helps. Beyond that, it's about making precise folds, and smoothing out wrinkles and bubbles as they occur. When working with thick potions, you can prevent some wrinkling, by grabbing the model and bending it at the point where you are going to make the crease and gently ease it into a curve before pressing it into a final crease. It's kind of like preparing it to crease before you actually do crease it. Some amount of wrinkling is inevitable though.

Foldable Flight Yes, I was able to fold it but I wasn’t able to get t to fly very far. It would fly and then just dive down
Was it climbing into the air, stalling, and crashing? Or was it just diving?
The angle of the various parts of thing wings can have a pretty big impact on the flight of Sylex Drone. You might try experimenting with the wing shape a bit. I talk a bit about this in the video at 11:15.
I'm also planning on making a video tutorial on how to adjust any plane to correct errors like the one you're describing. If you've already experimented with wing shape as I discuss above, then making minor adjustments to the trailing (back) edge of the wing could solve your problem as well. If the plane is diving into the ground, try bending the wing up very slightly where the center crease intersects with the back edge of the wing. If it is climbing, stalling, and then crashing, try bending the same area very slightly downward. I hope this helps!
