I love your videos. I also had R-N-Y 4 months ago and it’s a really big life changer. I’m loving it and no regrets. Like you said no more pain, no more diabetic meds, BP meds is down to 75 from 300 mg/day. Lose 50 lbs since surgery day.

Congratulations Katerina, you are amazing! It is great that you offer your insights to help those of us that haven't done it yet get an idea of what's to come. I am anticipating I'll get mine done early next year. My why is "I am just tired of living this way", so that really resonated with me. I look forward to your continued progress. The only thing I am remotely nervous about is I pretty much live on my own (long sorted story) so I'm hoping I can handle the first couple of weeks post surgery. I have a good support system, but I already hate to be a burden. I'm sure I'll get over that real quick. :D Thanks again!

Hi Kris. Thank you sooo much for watching my videos and sharing your story. I am excited to hear more about your journey. I understand your worries about post op but I believe that you'll do well on your own. I honestly didn't need any help from anyone apart from helping release me of some of my mommy duties. I have a 3 year old.... Other than that, you'll be able to handle everything on your own. You're going to do GREAT! Keep in touch. I look forward to hearing about your journey.

I’m pre op. Keep reading comments on FB support group and sometimes I just don’t want to do it because of struggles after. You can’t even swallow the water or any food. Or it just goes through!!!! Please be specific 🙏🏻on your journey.

Hi Lilly. I avoid FB Groups because all I hear is negativity. I have had a wonderful experience and I am grateful that I had the operation. I researched it and thought about it about 10 years prior to doing the operation. I should have done it earlier but I let people's negative comments dissuade me. Now I know better :) Your surgeon will explain everything that you should experience and the stages of recovery. It is TRUE that after surgery, you're not able to jug water or eat as much as you did prior to surgery. Eventually, with time, you will be able to drink and eat more. It goes in stages. During the first 6 months, it's a period of adjustment where you learn what foods you should consume and how you react to them. It's also the period where you will lose the most weight. Take that as a learning experience and an opportunity to change your habits. It will only do you good. Don't let people dissuade you from becoming a healthier version of yourself. Whatever your choice is...do it for you. Don't listen to those who try to tell you what to do. Follow your heart and don't be afraid to put your health FIRST.

Hi there, I’ve been watching your videos and was wondering, how did you do it to carry your toddler post surgery? I have a baby girl and I’m afraid I won’t be able to carry her much after my operation. She’s just below the weight limit.

Hi Dania. My toddler is attached to me like flies on poop so I had no choice but to carry him and also he was in diapers still so it was kind of a necessity. I was careful so he doesn't kick me but to be honest, after the 3rd day I was feeling well enough to do everything I could have done prior to surgery. Don't worry too much about it. Just make sure to follow your drs instructions and do your best not to carry your baby girl too much for the first week...to your best of your abilities. Wishing you the best of luck and lots of health and happiness !
