I do the water method too but I also transplant a bunch of them into a large pot filled with soil then after a few weeks I transplant them to another are in my yard and garden. They look beautiful!
Thank you for this video! It has taken over the side flowerbed of our new home, crowding out the rose and crepe myrtle. I will be digging these out and moving them to another area.
I live in las vegas which is arid hot summer time most of my plants died due to the harsh heat but this perennial plants survive well with beautiful flowers every morning. The flowers wilt in the evening but new blooms in the morning.
Could you please tell why my Mexican Petunia flowers easily fall by a brush of wind after fully blooming while yours are strong enough even butterflies swing on it?
I'm not sure how cold it gets in your zone. What I would do is to take some cuttings during the winter and bring it inside. I'll put it on the ground when spring comes.
I live in FL and all I do is cut them when they get leggy. No dead heading at all. They are beautiful 💜💜💜but VERY INVASIVE. They grow all in my lawn 😳😳😳
We were gifted this flowering plant by a neighbor. Thank you for this video it's very helpful, I will now try to propagate my Petunia plant 💖

Nice Flower 🌸
Mine doesn’t have any shoots it’s just one stem and a bunch of leaves. I love it and want to grow more and can’t figure out how with mine
I normally pinch the top leaves to encourage the plant to grow new shoots. You should try it.

That I'm not sure. Most of my petunia flowers only last a day but then more blooms come the following day.
Can it be left in water permanently? I would like to use some of it in my pond.
It might survive in the water if you keep the water clean. The roots are susceptible to root rot.
ganda ng bulaklak nayan
Just bought a couple of these. Can i cut the root ball in half to split them?
You can cut it. As long as the stem has nodes, it will grow just fine.
Does anyone have any experience, in colder zones, of growing this in pots outside and bringing inside over the winter?
The petunias die in the winter, but it comes back every year.
Do you think they would die to ground level and come back in zone six?

Can they survive through winter
My Mexican petunia dies during the winter but it does come back in the spring. It is a perennial in zone 8b.

We are in Charleston and this die during winter but always come back. They do spread and becomes really leggy but I love the purple flowers.
Lindas criaturas de Deus.
From Malta, I plant them on the roof, in the pots as Heckington with my neighbour
Wow. That's cool.
yan pala ay mixican petunia mas maganda yan kasi pwede mag propagate gamit ang sanga
may ganto ako ,sobrang bilis magbuto ,tska mgbulaklak
These petunias multiply so quickly there's hardly a need to do this at all
True if you have one growing on your yard already.
But if your neighbor wants one then this is very helpful 👌
Yes! Not everyone has this plant on their backyard already.
