I felt a difference with my K-Tuned ball joints compared to the stock ones. On Eibach Pro-Kit springs which give a mild 1"-1.3" drop all around my car, I experienced bump steer issues with the front end on bumps/uneven surfaces. After I installed the roll center adjusters it went away. Highly recommend. There is a company called Aerogenics that makes just the spacers for the factory ball joint. Much cheaper alternative although if the ball joints are worn the K-Tuned ones are great.
It’s not a major issue to do what you did, but at the same time I don’t feel like having to modify the part after I buy it. I may stay away from these roll center adjusters then.
I actually just got in contact with Ktuned recently and they claim that they corrected the issue a few weeks after production, so I may have received an early produced model. If you order directly from them, you should get the revised version. I on the other hand had ordered from a 3rd party website
@@Rawrkee got you thanks for the feedback. I stumbled across your install because my girlfriend is looking to do some more suspension mods to her 8th gen si. I’m glad you said that because I was about to just tell her steer clear of them.
Looks like you can use the RSX extended ball joints for the Prelude. I wonder how well that setup would work the the Type SH suspension with the double ball joint from the radius rods.
@@Rawrkee I meant max speeding rods. I hope you have a better experience with them though. Does ktuned have rear axle locator to bring the wheels forward in the rear fender?
Yea I’ve had terrible experience with maxspeeding rods. Different vehicle, it was my cousins bmw we did a video on taking them off. One of them literally fell apart when it came out of the car.
@@ThrottleHavoc man, fortunately it hasn’t happened to me so far >_< They do have newer versions and so they might hold up better. What coilovers are you running now?
Love the video bro! Might have to get into these cause I really wanna up my suspension. So much stuff I need lol. Let me know an update on how you like them 👍🫡
Nice bro! Did you get them installed yet??? I hope they make your car feel much better! Mine were shot ever since I bought the car and now I finally replaced them 🤣
@@Rawrkee..I plan on getting them installed next week along with truhart lowering springs..truhart shocks & struts and goodridge stainless steel brake lines..all of my oem suspension components are shot and I’m in need of a wheel alignment
Yo I put my rear coil spring in upside down last night gonna flip it over after work tomorrow car will be parked. I drove like 10 miles with them like this I didn’t ruin them did I?
Dude you gotta out more videos out ! So question bro ! Have you ever had a water leak trunk on your prelude ! I have one on mine! Also by the way I need ended up buy a civic after my 1993 civic got totaled. So I guess I’m copying you now lol ! Alright bro pump out those video’s definitely look forward to them !!
@@Rawrkee sorry bro I meant if you ever had a water leak into your trunk ? That was a typo !! Nah I got a 7th gen !! Man do I regret getting it’s missing a lot of parts! LoL think I’ll make it a project to start my TH-cam videos !! LoL
Always good content. Haven’t commented in a while. Love the prelude content. Im vinyl wrapping mine soon. I have huge engine/transmission issues recently i had to fix. Civics looking good.
Love how positive you are. Appreciate your honesty and lookin out for the 8th gen community. Definitely provided a solid review bro. :)
Thanks bro!! Lookin forward to doin more reviews :D
shouldnt have to modify the part for the bolt to fit considering the the company and the price tag they sell them at

Thanks for the info bro! Did you notice more sound from the front suspension when you go over bumps??

I had the same exact issue. You would think they wouldn’t power coat the inside of the hole or at least test fit them.
Oh well, it happens... Did you notice if your suspension made more noise when you went over bumps?
Agreed,
You spend almost 200 bucks on some ball joints, you shouldn't have to modify or change sockets.
Welcome back
yeah bro, I would've reused my old ones but I had already tossed them 🤣🤣🤣

I bought those max (orange) and I had to replace the entire system once. Ended up going bad 2x. Now I have rev 9's. I don't advise anyone to get Max's
Max??? Never heard of them, if these go bad, I'll give them a try :D

We’re able to use your oem tie rods or did you need extended tie rods?
Welcome back bro , I just did roll center adjusters too, good vid
Thanks bro! And hell yeah, I gotta see if they have some for the Prelude 😂
Did you use the k-tuned ones too??
Had the same issue with mine, had to make the holes bigger

Thanks bro!! It’s pretty hard to tell when I did both the coilovers and ball joints at the same time 😅
I just bought some k series ball joints for my 8th Gen civic
