Shining Force on the Sega, Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre, another gem was Master of Monster. But I am old and i have been playing Warhammer since its birth. These games would always cure those inches of tactical games.
Great work as always, have to say seeing Bahamut Lagoon made my nostalgia go through the roof. Such a blast from the past. Now i got reminded of a not that old game i love to play back in the day RADIANT HISTORIA (Nintendo DS). Keep up the great work and take care o/
Great video Joel! There are several games on here i missed that look really good, im shocked I never even heard of. It's tough for console gamers, we don't get many trpgs like cpu gamers do. Glad to find hidden gems i can go back and play
There was a good mech TRPG on iOS a long time ago. The graphics were extremely basic but it had an interesting plot. Forgot the name but I think there was a windows port as well. *UPDATE: It was War of Eustrath.
Darklands from 1992. Game claims to depict a medieval Europe with superstitions and myths as people of the time believed them. I've had failed attempts at the game before. Looks like RTFM is a requirement and not optional.
I can vouch for FF Tactics A2. Spent a lot of my younger years playing the heck outta that game when it first came out. It’s definitely a bit slow (can’t skip through animations) but it has a special charm to it and the gameplay is phenomenal. I highly recommend it. Thanks for bringing it to light! 🥹

Marvel midnight sun is an amazing turn based team RPG with a lot of replaysbility
brigandine was amazing. it was like playing risk but with final fantasy tactics

Bahamut Lagoon was great. I wonder what Tomato is up to these days.
Thanks a ton!

Glad I could help you discover some hidden gems! It’s tough to keep up with all the great games out there.
Cool thanks! Quite a few games here I’ve never heard of before
Glad you enjoyed!
Some additions to the list that might be worth looking over are titles like Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth, Vandal Hearts, and Vanguard Bandits.
I recall Berwick Saga having a fan translation that wasn't finished some years ago. Maybe it's time to actually go back and check.
Berwick is amazing!
Brigandine's my favorite game.
I recommend to everyone, just turn off battle animation, or better, play Grand Edition, the director's cut version

Disciples 2 GOAT
Suprised you don’t have Jeanne d’Arc from the PSP on here
You got like 5 arc the lad games to pick and you decide on the most dogshit one.
