To clarify the plot , It's backwards . He starts off in the pool ( killed himself ) then shows how he's unhappy and then getting plastic surgery then gets hit by a car , then lives life normal. If you could watch the video backwards , it would go : living life normal , gets hit by a car , gets plastic surgery but it's unsuccessful and he's upset with himself then kills himself

It's not because of the car accident that he proceeded to plastic surgery... it's because that he couldnt stand anymore the lifestyle of a rockstar.... So deep and meanful, that is so rocky... This dope is underrated

I see the whole videoclip just as his imagination rambling around different dreams and ideas while he'sh high, thinking how he could write songs and get famous, i.e. this specific song cover can be seen many times in the video. At the end you can see how hes just chilling in the hood smoking some weed and listening to rod steward's original song, hes literally floating and thus hes mentally on the clouds. I do believe the story of videoclip goes through his mind in just the last few seconds just after taking a hit and then he pictures himself dying and all of the other things that happen, hence the last smile when he realizes hes just triping and high as fuck.

I think that this video was supposed to take place all in his mind, at the beginning it is what he looks like after drugs, women, and fame got to him and he is a mess reminiscing about the past, but at the end it shows him in the bed smoking and slowly coming down from being levitated listening to rod stewart, (who also appears in his dream) meaning the whole time he was super high just picturing what would happen if he turned out like michael jackson and some other stars. But he smiles at the end because he comes back to reality realizes its just his high thoughts.
