This is so embarrassing. He’s sat in front of one of the greatest living painters and all he does is talk about other men. Suddenly I’m no longer a fan of Louis.
I don’t think he talks to much he is trying to relate to her style of art. I think he has done a very good job tbh. Art needs to be relatable not ivory tower especially from Tracey.
I'm a big fan of Louis, but I did not like how he treated this woman in the interview. I listened to the full episode and he really was prying and wasn't gentle around her trauma and picked the most horrific things she went through to ask her about. Very disrespectful.
did'nt she make an exhibit on the most painful things she went through? i mean how do you know about them otherwise? but she doesnt want people to have the reaction they have to them? Thats a bit closed minded no?
Listened to the whole interview and didn’t even remember her name 😂 Louis was very nice, normal, respectful, acting like a normal podcast host. It was Tracy making things awkward
I am baffled by all the hate on this video. Tracy’s work is vulgar and intimate and sexual so I’m as surprised as Louis that she was so closed about so many things. And it’s not exactly a reach to expect an interviewer to ask an artist about her contemporaries? I actually listened to the whole podcast and came looking for the recording because I wondered if anyone else picked up on how rude and awkward Tracy was, she also kept saying no and then going on to confirm what Louis had said was correct with many a very minor error. It was all a bit weird. Many of his guests are really open about everything so surprising she of all people was so dismissive of the things he wanted to talk about. I guess that’s entirely her choice though
louis always clowns around a bit. people like to be outraged. i met tracy emin once and she was perfectly lovely but people shouldn’t put her up on some pedestal like she’s a high priestess or something.
You’re letting yourself down! She’s so right! And she’s being very patient.
No she was quite rude and awkward at points
oh Louis, I loved you, but aren't giving her the respect she deserves. will listen to the full ep in hopes I'm mistaken!
elite wealthy tax dodgers don't deserve respect.

If he just shut up to allow his interviewees to talk

He loves the sound of his own voice a little too much. Let your subject talk and don’t compare artists.
He's a bit trite isn't he. The cluelessness isn't just schtick. Blokes of this ilk are aging like sour milk or dodgy 70s comedy.
Nope, this guy's messing about again. Uninteresting old guy achieving nothing for no one.

I thought the same!
Louis knows it's joke and he's treating it as such 😂😂😂
Hyperbole.
