On your fist explore trigger, you had the creature that makes you explore 2x times instead of once. You should have had 4 counters on each of your creatures

Sunfrill Imitator can be Etali because of its wording. "Whenever Sunfrill Imitator attacks, you may have it become a copy of another target Dinosaur you control, except its name is Sunfrill Imitator" which means it's still Sunfrill Imitator with Etali abilities, not second Etali.
It can be etali but when it becomes it is too late to get the attack trigger

New player here, I really enjoyed the video as I have just purchased the vampire and pirate decks. And I enjoyed seeing how they’re played as well as the other two decks that I may or may not invest in. Thank you for the entertainment🙏🏼😂

37:56 Pantlaza player doesn’t have to use Akroma’s Will if he didn’t want to. The Discover mechanic states: “cast it without paying its mana cost or put it into your hand.” So could of saved it for a later turn if he wanted.
You are correct but I got to cast it for free haha! I had other things I wanted to do with my mana but nevertheless it's a good spot!

As mentioned already, shame you missed the double exploring, magic is not easy, even so, cracking game guys, loving your channel
Quick stack ruling for Tom and Christian, around 28:50. I know it's a lot to keep up with.
The Etali would ETB untapped, triggering the vampire, Rhythm (largely irrelevant, will not mention again) and the Pantlaza, getting Tom a token and having Christian discover until he hit the Rampaging Swordtooth. That part of the stack had already resolved, down to the discover resolving.
With the Discover resolving, the Swordtooth will enter untapped, triggering its own ability, and the vampire's ability. The triggers would go on the stack in active player, inactive player order, resolving from the top of the stack down. So the Swordtooth's ability would resolve after the Vampire token is created. So the token would enter first, then it would have one damage dealt to it, along with the rest of the board. So Tom would have no 1/1s. Sorry. Small thing, but relevant.
Edit, Tom would have 1 1/1, but not for the reason he thinks. Elenda died in the 1 damage wipe, so he would create X 1/1s equal to Elenda's power, which was 1.
Correct conclusion for an incorrect reason.

You can't cast creatures during combat. 😂 when Brass came out, it brought ramirez back and he used the treasure to cast Francisco. And then attacked.
After rewatching this episode i feel like we need a "my good friend" counter for toms politicing

Really great watch. Bought the Dino precon, just waiting for it to ship. Note though, should have been 2 Etali triggers, and that akroma's will would still have affected any additional creatures played that turn. Solid games, great fun, and awesome to watch
First time watching really fun!!! ❤ tho one mistake I caught is when Etali was stolen and attacked the vampire player can also exile top card. It’s each player. I wonder what he had that he scry and said he couldn’t cast because it cost too much. He would have been able to cast it for free with etali trigger

Pantlaza is 100% going in the 99 of my gishath deck. Excited for the card to come in. I also managed to pull Savage Order.

Why you Guys don't read your cards? ... wally has a creature that say his Creatures explores twice ... one turn after this he plays Hakbal and explores each creature once .... yeah its new cards but read the cards explains the cards.
Don't worry about those mistakes too much, it's all in the spirit of commander, sometimes you slip up on triggers etc.
We do try to catch them, I'm sure I pointed out a couple within the episode itself. I hope it didn't detract away from the fun too much for you.
I have gotten these decks and merfolk although they did very well and took out almost two people out the vampire player was able to sac two and gain two life sending him 1 he was 34 i hit him for 35 and he ended up winning
Hello everyone, having seen the video of the match, very interesting, question among these four if you had to take two decks which would be the recommended ones?
For me, probably the dinos and the vampires! Tom was one or two draws away from a vampire lord which would have saved his board and doomed us! Just bad luck on his part. I think the dinos speak for themselves 😂

I guess it depends on what you want from your deck! My two recommendations were made based on which I think are the more powerful, if you want interesting mechanics and interaction then definitely look at the merfolk!
Damn the pirate deck seems to be bad compared to the other precons. Ive watched a few preconvideos now and it never did much...Is it just me?
Yeah I’ve not seen it massively boot off yet either! Maybe 5 CMC for the commander is a bit steep?

I was thinking the same thing. Then I saw the Spike Feeders video with Ben Wheeler playing a $50 upgraded version and it popped off. Sooo maybe just out of the box it isn’t great?
No, it's pretty good. With some cheap upgrades it can go crazy real fast.
Eras pass, and magic players continue not being able to fully read a card.
The new term is actually kindred, typal was a placeholder. They plan to reintroduce tribal mechanics on instant/sorceries using the updated term kindred.

Hey! I'm sorry if you disagree with our decision making and this affected your enjoyment of the episode. For us, commander is less about perfect play and more about having a fun social interaction! If you're looking for perfect commander gameplay then maybe check out a CEDH channel like Veil of Death where Christian and Wally also appear!
