- Today we're back in Scrap Mechanic for more spleef! This time I took an idea from the comments and built a musical chairs spleef arena! Every 30 seconds we have to hop out of our cars and run towards another car in an attempt to take over control and keep the spleef action going! Check out the video for this ridiculous experience and let me know in the comments below what other spleef arenas I should build! I hope you enjoyed watching this as much as we enjoyed playing it!

@@Crazyclay78YT all except kosmo did last week. if you mean this week, i doubt the wedding is related. kan's last video on the 24th is when he mentioned the wedding being in a couple days. if he made the video that same day the wedding would've been the 26th. and it's highly unlikely he posted the video the same day he recorded. I'm guessing at most the wedding was on the 24th or within the 7 days prior.

@@Crazyclay78YT no, that's my point. even with a full week honeymoon it'd have been before monday. also bare in mind kan has an editor. think about the timeline.
Two Idea's here:
1. force triangle trades when you start you know who everyone is switching with the first time so then every time you swap with the other person. So it is back and forth and nobody can be left out.
2. add a 4th cart and keep the short swap times. You have to swap or you are eliminated. So if you know you are slow at swapping you are going to try to keep that forth cart in to swap with.
Paint the cars and have a rule about the order of swapping. The driver of the red car moves to the blue car, the driver of the blue car moves to the green car, and the driver of the green car moves to the red car.
Another idea that I see a lot of others suggesting is to have the vehicles switch to bot mode when you hop out of them.
Ask kAN for the specifics.
That's not the first time that Kan is drawing/making peepees in Multiplayers Monday. I wonder how many times Kan's artistic aspirations have been hidden from us because of the editing.
A few changes that together might make for a fun variant:
- Cars switch to autonomous survival every X second at which point people switch. Would have to either detect a player getting into a seat or just press a button to take over manually after the switch.
For the autonomous survival mode could probably work together with kan who made spleef bots that could get modified to this.
- Every 2nd swap you have an extension to the arena with 1 extra spleef car come down.
I think how it'd play out is that either someone keeps activating the new cars as additional spleef contenders or the cars would just be a small annoyance when driving around the edge.
On swaps if the other 2 swap with each other you would be forced to activate a new car or hop into an already active one.
Should add a bunch of extra cars using Kan's bot cars with seats added so there are spare cars to jump into. Eventually they'll all get eliminated and you are *NOT ALLOWED TO GET BACK INTO YOUR ORIGINAL CAR*. If there's no car for you then, well I feel bad for you son, but you're out.
Would need a bigger arena I think.
The fact that someone doesn’t always swap is actually good for balance. It means there is a risk to setting up traps if you end up having to go back to the same vehicle.
Suggestions to improve this concept. Make the map bigger with more supports. The fact that you can rig your car for failure before you ditch it isn't great, so having a larger and better supported map would make that a bit more tricky and make the rounds a bit more forgiving. Just set a rotation for car swaps. Instead of a free for all and 2 of you end up swapping each others cars and leaving the 3rd on out dry, you all agree that like Kan goes to Scrapman's, Scrapman goes to yours, and you go to Kan's or other way around. It just makes it better for guaranteeing you're in a different vehicle come swap time.
Get sensors and color the "red" boarder just slightly different and extend it. You made the rule that you can't be aimed off of the map once you jump out. I think you could rig it up to where you have a red zone and then a darker red zone and have sensors that detect the darker red and whether or not a player is in the seat. If the vehicle doesn't detect the dark red, it'll keep running. If it does and there's no driver, it'll turn off. If it does and there is a driver, it can keep driving and shooting. Something like that to kind of insure that that kind of scenario doesn't happen.

For 3 players: Paint the cars with a color, when time comes to switch cars, you must move to the car of the next color. You can put a single block on the hood to indicate the next color car.
So a black car with a blue block on the hood means that the driver of the black car must switch to the blue car.
Obviously when down to 2 players, you can ignore this.
That was an awesome spleef map. What about cars that have explosives on them, so you do musical cars again but as you get out you trigger the explosives then have extra cars at each corner and side to give 8 extra cars to use, but you could screw them over and make them un-useable because there is a big hole where the car would enter the map.
One way for switching is make the cars coloured and make each player have a colour, then easily visible from anywhere on the map (possibly multiple of them), have a board which shows the car colours and a colour light inside for the person. Then have it switch which light is on to indicate where you switch to. You go to whatever colour car has your colour light.
Could have colored the cars green, yellow and red. When the time hits, whoever is in the green car goes to the yellow one, yellow goes to red and red goes to green. Repeat
It ended too soon I wasn’t expecting it to fell so short but I guess time flies when you’re having fun.

Alt version: have a series of toilets above the arena, every 30 seconds you need to grapple to a toilet then jump into a car (can be the same one or someone else's).
Also had the idea of having an ejector seat that activates every 30 seconds on a timer, not sure how easy that'd be in SM however.
I think you guys need another friend for something like this.
4 players would not stop someone from being stuck with their car, because if player 1 swapped with 2, 2 swapped with 3, and 3 swapped with 1, leaving 4 with their own car.
I think kAN was right: you needed to pain the cars and swap to a specific other car. When two people just swap, the last guy has to break the rules by definition and you're forced to just sit there until everyone else finishes (and cheat) or realize that they're just swapping and get right back in your own car (and cheat).
Do this concept again, but with bright light indicator on who swaps with who, like your light is blue, kan is green, scrapman is red, and all three cars would cycle one player to the next
EX: Car 1 - Blue Light | Car 2 - Green Light | Car 3 - Red Light
to Car 1 - Red Light | Car 2 - Blue Light | Car 3 - Green Light
to Car 1 - Green Light | Car 2 - Red Light | Car 3 - Blue Light
i like the idea of adding challenges. what about having you shoot a button above to drop a bomb at specific locations? You would have to know where it would drop and time it while risking your vehicle driving toward a hazard?
interesting idea, but I think it would be better with a forced rotation, Scrap gots to Kan's car, Kan goes to Kosmo, kosmo goes to Scrap. that way you're forced to interact with more of the board.
Spleef Challenge:
The cars drive themselves, but have player-controlled turrets on top.

Very chaotic. I have an impression that these rules just added more pain than challenge.
To keep the chaos, everyone swaps exactly as you did in this video, but ad that you must touch another car before you are allowed reenter the car you left. Maybe add kAN's favourite horn buttons to the cars and you have to hit one of those before you can get back in your own car.
Also set up an audible timer so you don't have to pay attention to the time while playing. And if there is some way to make it random even better.
Okay... this is insane. A less multicolored board would maybe be a bit easier... and the swapping is definitely easier with an even number of players. Have you looked into finding someone for a fourth for the Monday videos?

One way to both fix and make the switch chalenging could be to establish who you are going to switch with at the begining and that ones you switch to one persons car, next time you are force to change with the other one you didn't last time, this will completely keep every one rotating into an spesific car that would not get taken fron you.
Even if the first switch isn't specify and just two of you exchage cars, the next round the one that couldn't would have to options to exchange with while the other two would have to compete to get to his car since his is the only option for both, one would win and the loser would have to go to the last car remaining.
Maybe number the cars and each time everyone has to go up a number with #3 rotating back to #1, that way you wont have 2 people swapping and leaving one in the same car.

Colouring the cars could have solved the swapping problems: red, blue, green cars, and everyone has to go red->blue->green->red
A row of spud guns behind the car, set to a timer so it leaves a bunch of parallel lines instead of one continuous line.
hm... is there away to make the car only be able to go while someone is in the seat? i think it would be less chaotic and a little longer rounds if the cars stop while you swap. you still have to be cautious with the traps you lay down, since you still can fell for your own
I think if you wanted to improve on this idea maybe you could make it so the car shoots you off the chair that way there is no possible way of staying on your car idk maybe could or not work. Much love
This is complete nonsense and i love it!
Is there a way to use auto ejector seats? That way the player can't just wait a few seconds before getting off.
Maybe even add something that tells you what new vehicle is yours, such as the player using the red vehicle now has find the blue vehicle and the blue vehicle player must find the red vehicle, and the third player is lucky to just get back on the green vehicle?
With a few other versions of this game play?
