Pinay, I am so thankful that I happened onto this video!! I found a small mermaid's tail plant by accident. The nursery attendant did not speak much English and I couldn't get information on the plant. It came home and flourished, comma but over the Winter I brought it inside and almost killed it! I was devastated because I am so in love with this plant! Somehow I got it back to a beautiful yet different looking plant and now I want to propagate but I was so afraid I'd hurt it again! I live in Texas, and this has been a very hot summer. Once it cools off, I will follow your directions and hope for the best!! Thank you and God-bless.

Hello. Thanks for watching. Most succulent cuttings start rooting about 2-3 weeks after placing in soil. I usually do a gentle pull to check for roots. If you try to pull up the cutting gently from the soil and it doesn’t separate from the soil, this means your cutting has rooted. This is the time that you can water your cutting.
Hello and thank you for watching. Just FYI, I live in NorCal , I dont get snow and my summer are in the high 90s.After my cuttings have rooted, I water same time as I water the mother plant. They are summer dormant so they don’t need much water like once every 3 weeks. During winter through spring I water once every 2 weeks.
