    i put mine on today and followed this video which made it incredibly easy. for the cover i just used a razor knife and it cut off easily. i would suggest wearing gloves though just to be safe. the socket for the bolt is 10mm. thanks for posting.

    How come in your video, you didn’t cut off the plastic cover of the underneath bolt?

      Are you supposed to cut it off?

      @devavratbhardwaj. First of all, thank you very much for your comment!!! Typically, it's recommended to have the mud flaps plastic cover trimmed, but the owner preferred to keep them intact. In case he does not like the appearance of the car with these flaps, and we agree that he will have to cut them himself if he gets used to them. If you found my response helpful, please consider subscribing to the channel if you haven't already. Your support means a lot to me and keeps me motivated to create more content. Next week, I plan to mount the flaps on the back and showcase some handy organizers designed specifically for this car model.

      @michaelwong342. First of all, thank you very much for your comment!!! As I mentioned in another comment, I'm not the owner of the car, and the owner wanted to keep the plastic cover for a while to see if he like the overall look of the car with flaps installed. If he decide it's suitable, he will trim them by himselve. Otherwise, he may opt to remove the mud flaps al. However, typically, trimming is recommended. If you appreciated my response, I'd be grateful if you could subscribe to the channel if you haven't already. Your support truly means a lot to me and greatly encourages me to keep going. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out.

      @@PAFixandCrafts this question is exactly what brought me here. on tesla's website it only showed a basic diagram and stated to cut that off. I was confused so i looked and found this video which was very intuitive and answered my question. thus i have subscribed. thank you for posting.

      First of all, thank you very much for your comment!!! Of course, I'd be delighted! I must admit that I'm not particularly adept at presenting a car's performance, especially considering it's not my own. However, with the owner's assistance, I believe we can create compelling video material.

    Hello and Happy New Year! This morning I had these installed by Tesla Service, but I changed my mind (because these flaps are huge and I really don't like to see them) so I would like to remove and revert back. The problem is that Tesla service didn't give me the old exagonal nuts and I am not sure if I can use the ones that they fitted now, if I remove the flap... Any suggestions please? Thanks 🙏

      @audiofra. First of all, thank you very much for your comment and Happy New Year!!! The new ones are longer and cannot be used if you remove the mud flaps, but they can be easily found on the internet. If it helps, I can measure the old ones. I may still have them. And that way you have an exact reference of what you need to look for. To remove the flaps, you don't have to go to the service. You can do this operation at home in a maximum of 20 minutes. If you found this answer helpful, I’d greatly appreciate it if you could subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. Your support means a lot and motivates me to keep creating content. What would you use to cut the flap off?

    • @PAFixandCrafts
      @PAFixandCrafts  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @vectorboy7. First of all, thank you very much for your comment!!! To cut that flap, I recommend using a cutter since its blade is thin and sharp. It's a straightforward process: gently run the tip of the blade over the thin part of the flap a few times until it comes off. Not sure this is the right way to install these - placing mud flap on top of well lining creates a pocket for salty water to flow down and accumulate between the flap and body of the car.

      @@andymalakov4283. First of all, thank you very much for your comment!!! I’m not a manufacturer of such systems, but these mud flaps were purchased directly from the Tesla website. I followed the installation instructions provided on their official website to set them up. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of these systems, but the car owner asked for my help with the installation, and I was happy to assist. As for their effectiveness or whether they might cause any issues with the car, I can’t say for certain

      I have the same flaps. It does seem like a design issue with these.
