The best value item, for me at least, has been a decent set of powerbands/resistance bands. One thing being the simple excercises you can do, but being able to emulate a ton of machines, as long as you have a post or similar near where you train. Personally I built a T-shaped rig out of some old 1" pipes I had lying around, that allows me to emulate anything from a lat pulldown, triceps pushdown, cable cross, leg curl and extension, low row and so on

    • @supernoodles908

the inversion boots by teeter are comfy and have enormous value!
    spine traction, of course
having to stabilize for inverted crunches and squats
being able to swing if your bar is secured
tiny space requirements, just need a tall enough pull-up bar
soooo many great neck and shoulder stretches are made possible by the traction
also, any cheap 5-10$ set of weighted gloves is fantastic for improving many stretch routines with weight but without needing maintain a grip on something (and they synergize all kinds of lovely with inversion boots)

Anyone with knee issues should get some slant blocks. I got mine for like 20 bucks from amazon to my door an use them all the time for heel elevated squats an different knee focused exercises. Rogue shackles are great for pulley systems and grip work they were pretty cheap if you already have a 3"x3" rack. Arm blasters are pretty cheap and even though they are a one trick pony still nice to have. Dip belt is great for weighted body movements and hooking to a belt squat.

I think your stainless steel dumbbells is low grade 200 series. I used to make 304 stainless dumbbells. They are not very attached to magnets. Check this out: All stainless steel is magnetic EXCEPT austenitic stainless steel which is actually 300 series stainless such as 304 and 316. However, 300 series stainless is non-magnetic only after it is freshly formed. 304 is almost for sure to become magnetic after cold work such as pressing, blasting, cutting, etc.
