The issue with a lot of the "budget" setups, they don't make them for us bigger guys. Be that tall guys or like me ones with a little extra padding.
Also.. no no no, never use anything less than a level 2 retention holster on a battle belt. keep in mind a battle belt part of a "minute man" setup, will be exposed to being banged around, diving behind walls/cover, etc.. and the potential of loosing your sidearm is quite high. With a good level 2 retention, you have almost zero chance of the weapon slipping out. A holster is the one place you don't cut corners on.

Honestly, this stuff isn't built for multiple engagements. It would never hold up through day to day use and abuse. It's good if you just want something to have when the shtf for one time bugout movement. I would NEVER trust this stuff with my life, personally. My life is worth more than that.
Are you talking about Taticon Products? What specifically about the gear are you thinking won't hold up?
