@@penneguini There is a staircase right across from the entrance to the depths that heads up to the female undead merchant, and if you go down that tunnel you can open the gate back to Firelink from the inside, and it then use it in future run backs.

@@penneguiniYou can outrun the dogs but I don't usually do it. I take my time clearing the dogs and bandits. And it is a small area so doesn't take that long. And I haven't really died to Capra Demon in a long time.
@@penneguiniTake it easy on yourself. Go as human there and call Leroy. He will literally spank those into non existence. Alternatively try to find that spot where you jump into that Skeleton Blacksmith and then out of the broken wall and take on them one by one or even better just run to the boss fight.

I’ve always thought the run back to the Capra demon from Firelink was a lot easier than coming from the undead burg.
I didn’t know there was an alternative path. I’m not sure how you’d get there from firelink
