Just gonna let y'all know that I found an easier way on the forehand side, using the same "skate by the goalie and make him chase you" idea. Do exactly what is being shown in this video on the between the legs move on the forehand side, but instead do the one hand tuck so your guy just slides it past him far side, it's like 90% for me. Skate down on forehand side, hold out forehand, skate over the hash marks, once you get to the top of the blue paint, to the goalies side, hit L1 + R1 (while holding out to your forehand).
I'm still very new to the world of NHL. I absolutely love this game but suck at scoring. My defending is improving thanks to your videos. Im hoping this improve my scoring.
For some reason the Defensemen CPU can somehow catch up to a winger who’s full speed up ice, and then you try and do some dekes and they poke the puck or push you off.
Link me to a awesome tutorial video for how to aim top shelf vs between dudes legs or corners etc... It used to be pressing in the direction of the goalie is high and pressing back would be low..but pressing back/low isn’t working for me...
Scoring on breakaways is so ridiculously hard this year. In years past, ever since like 07 or 08, you could just deke left and right a bunch of times and then roof it forward at the last minute. That doesn't seem to work anymore which is lame because realistically you should be able to score like 50% of the time on a breakaway without resorting to weird moves like this.
The one handed tuck has been the way to go since they updated the goalies and nerfed skating. But yeah they have been trying to make it so that people dont just randomly move their right stick and get lucky to score
Nhl19 is my 1st NHL game since 2006(Lecavier cover PS2) And me and friends played NHL from 96 till 2006. -NHL19 is sooo fast that it’s hard to set up stuff.. Sometimes too much is too much. I love the minor league accuracy in franchise and all the options you can tweak.. But I know I’m hurting myself slowing down the game speed and lowering human/cpu speeds.. But it’s a huuuge adjustment... THANK YOU TO XBOX LIVE FOR GETTING ME AND MY OLD SCHOOL FRIENDS BACK INTO HOCKEY AGAIN...
Have they changed the one handed tuck I can’t seem to score on it the player just seems to loose his stick? I got a trophy pop up for scoring a one handed tuck it took 22 shots to get and looked nothing like a one handed to more like a wrap round
May I ask a question to a Professional? I Wonder about acceleration. Until last NHL 18 acceleration Workshop by Pressling the right Stick. For me it looks, as in that does Not work on NHL 19. Does acceleration still work by Pressling the right Stick or not? Thanx.
Acceleration is just a general stat that helps your players get to top speed sooner. Right stick in helps, but just normally moving around without the RS will be benefited by acceleration as well. In NHL 19, pushing the right stick in isn't as noticeable as previous years because they made it so that the worst players and the best players skating stats are closer together.
Skill stick gives you access to more moves, hybrid is easier for newer players or those who havent played for a long time. Id go with skill stick because when they add more features to the game itll be on those controls.
I thought you were supposed to hold left then tap LB then RB in sequence and not at the same time. You can always check it out in training mode to be sure if it's not working for you!
8:10 is what you are looking for. You can do it both ways, but the one going the opposite way that isn't shown is harder to do because it requires you to do it within a smaller window.
Evan D. It’s just a tuck so no shooting needed, it’s easier too if while you pull the puck to the side, start holding LB then, and then when you’re ready to do it press RB.
Great vid man, I commented on a HUT video you made about the 82 Lafleur from the DC rewards. It’s fucking impossible on the single player and just wondered if you had any tips against the AI on superstar difficulty for someone that has totally underestimated the challenge. If not I’ll have to grind the online, despite the fact I’m shit lol
Hmmm. Personally I did not find them as challenging as last year. I think the most important thing for them regarding defense is to stop them at the blue line. If they are approaching the boards in the NZ and entering your zone, you form up in front of them to force them to dump the puck most of the time. This will mean possession will likely be back in your hands. Offense can be tricky, low rebound shots from anywhere and then burying the second opportunity seems to be the easiest thing you can do.
Ok I’ll give it a shot, I’m taking too many tripping penalties tbf. I was glad they announced harsher penalties for poke check spammers but it’s happening when I press it just once. Thanks for the advice man, liked and subbed
For sure! It's very tough against a computer goalie since they will likely read that the puck is slowly trickling toward them. A player goalie on the other hand will get caught by it pretty often so you'll see it be used by some top EASHL players
That's not a glitch. That's you holding the lob pass button too long. Doing so increases the force your player uses to elevate the puck. Hold it too long and it'll go out of play. If you practice the timing for how long to power up the lob, dump and chase can work.
Anders Alstrup really I swear I’ve tried it where I hold it all the way and where I barely do nothing works for me, and I think dump and chase is the best way to win
@@Jhart44 if you hold the lob pass button for half a second then shoot the puck, aiming with the left stick (assuming skill stick controls), it should dump the puck in deep from after the red line at center ice. Let me know if that works in practice mode (I'm away from my Xbox right now)
I played a game in comp seasons this morning and had about 3-5 breakaways and could not score. The moves from last year don’t really work so this video helps a lot
A lot of them do, yes. However EA introduced many patches since I uploaded this video making some of them a bit less easy. The one handed tuck ended up being the best breakaway move since the last patch.
I don't know when I'll have my strats ready, but one of the next Guide videos will be for strategies in general so you can tweak them based on the knowledge you learn.
In 18 I was crushing everyone.. sniping, cycling the puck , setting up sick plays. In 19 I can barely break into the zone to generate offense. Wtf help!
Joe Schiavone I had one loss and one ot loss with about 100 gp in both 17 and 18 and I was in div 1 both years. This year I already have 2 losses because ea is getting rid of the skill gap. Poke checking is essential to defence, but now we have to rely on our player automatically taking the puck away. It’s all about who spent more money and has the better team now
This year is definitely a very different year than previous ones. Going into NHL 18, much of what you did carried over from 17. When I first booted the game up and loaded up my strategies, I realized they weren't going to work this year. A lot of the little things that I did just didn't work anymore, so it was time to find new strategies, tactics, and tricks. Learning zone entry should be a priority, without that, you will never get into the offensive zone (exaggeration). Remember that the AI aren't aggressive this year, that means you can breeze right by them, usually to their side without much resistance. You have to keep an eye out for the player that is being controlled by your opponent and go in the opposite direction to enter the zone. Sometimes you may need to pass back to the center line before pushing forward as well. As far as cycling goes, it again boils down to the passive AI, if the AI is hunting you down you can likely move/circle around them. If its a player, you can try that too but its probably better to pass it so you don't get hit and lose the puck. With how passive everyone is, you can be really patient to open up opportunities and not take the first shot you see.
3 on 3 EASHL is cancer... people only go for glitch plays. What fun is it if your only focus in every game is to take advantage of glitches in the game
This video was made on release, they have since patched the game to make some of these moves not work. See the second breakaways video for other breakaway moves that still work.
It always depends on the situation, and how much space you have. The great thing about those straight line moves that I showed is that you can go full speed all the time and then just do the move at the very end. Don't say none of those moves, as I have done many of them with defenders. Some moves are harder to pull off then others, and thats understandable.
You're either going to fight fire with fire or fight fire with wood. Take your pick. As I said in a video last year, I show exploits hoping that it makes them more popular so EA can notice them and get rid of them. They got rid of the glitch wrap finally and another one which I can't think of from the top of my head.
Goalies are unbelievable this year especially on breakaways they are like real life
Hell no, the goalies can fucking stop a beach ball
Cole Lemay lmao better than real life way better
Breakaways been holding back our EASHL squad. Thanks for the tips!

Not a problem! Happy to hear my videos have helped. Let me know if you have any questions.
I died laughing at the end of the video 🤣🤣🤣🤣 “ does it actually wrk in the game” 🤣🤣
I don’t think the AI has anything to do with the breakaway amount. The speed with puck is drastically slower than without, thats the real difference
great work yet again brianstormed, been a while but i appreciate this video. Cant wait to try these, NHL 19 is feelin real tough.
For some reason the Defensemen CPU can somehow catch up to a winger who’s full speed up ice, and then you try and do some dekes and they poke the puck or push you off.

sounds like you're starting it too late if you lose your stick. you have to give yourself a little more room and time for things this year it seems.

One handed tuck.....Tapping rb and lb at the same makes him deke not shoot... .......what am I missing???
Make sure that your right stick is either to the left or the right before you do it.
I thought you were supposed to hold left then tap LB then RB in sequence and not at the same time. You can always check it out in training mode to be sure if it's not working for you!
Nobody talks about the one-hand deke that goes in every time.
That's what I'm here for. How the hell do you shoot those?
8:10 is what you are looking for. You can do it both ways, but the one going the opposite way that isn't shown is harder to do because it requires you to do it within a smaller window.
It does not go in every time.. the timing is not the easiest always, and you have to be to the side of the net almost.
Evan D. It’s just a tuck so no shooting needed, it’s easier too if while you pull the puck to the side, start holding LB then, and then when you’re ready to do it press RB.

Roc Jones definitely 94, definitely.

6:15 is a sick move... I can only pull that one off every once in a while

I am indeed color blind. Thank you for that! :p
I did the tap back deke score while playing threes(18) against my friends and I screamed like a little girl about it.
Haha I've screamed like a little girl for that too!
Shouldve had breakaway/shootout goals in the title.. i like them im guna try all of them next shootout i get in =D
GL man! Yeah for shootout goals people tend to do fancier things especially against player goalies. This is just what works against computer goalies
Videos are always 🔥🔥🔥
How do u dive block on nhl94 controls
I don't think it's possible, unfortunately. The NHL 94 controls are very limited in what they can do. I'd recommend moving to hybrid or skill stick.
Yet again another banger of a video. Love it.!!!!! Keep em coming buddy
I find the harder the setting, the easier to score on the goalie because they follow you more. When you actually get the chance that is.
Getting nhl tomorrow, can u still not dump the puck this yeAr, it would always go over the boards, or is that glitch still in it
That's not a glitch. That's you holding the lob pass button too long. Doing so increases the force your player uses to elevate the puck.

@@Brianstormed alright thats good to know? I like a good forecheck
I feel like the easiest way to score is to go across the hash marks and do nhl18s glitch goal or to go to the backhand
We need an updated video
Not a whole lot has changed. The one handed tuck does really well. Other than that, the forehand backhand is great too in this latest tuner.
5:10 backhand shot between the legs....wtf...

9:40 is the gren move sir
Haha yeah, I talked about you using that move in one of my videos last year!
Just pull back and make the cross crease pass the goalie will be looking the wrong direction when the puck goes past him
Well this is just if you are the only skater on the goalie, I agree though thats a great way to score!
Skate right shoot left or skate left shoot right. That’s what literally everyone does
I need this video, I appreciate it
12 to 4 against my friend thank u
I would say short side snipe is the best move in the game
Cause it works on the eashl goalies
good god i needed this
God I really needed this LOL
If you can’t score on a breakaway without this video maybe FIFA is better for you.
To be fair, this is the hardest year yet to score on the breakaway.
One hand tuck is overpowered this uear
Can you play World of chel?
I'll be playing EASHL Threes and uploading videos, I'm not 100% sure about Ones yet. Threes 2.0, Pro-Am and 6s I'll likely not touch.
No more toe drag? ☹️
Haha, still not as effective as two years ago!

How the fuck do you control which way the skater turns when using vision control
It depends on your left stick, if you move right and vision control he will look left and vice versa
Forehand backhand goes in 90 percent of the time.
Against a superstar AI with a bad player? If you could send me a clip that'd be great. Wasn't working for me so I moved on to other moves.
