Early Bird Gets the WORM! - Big Walker 2023

We went to the Big Walker Fly-In a couple days early in September 2023. The weather forecast prompted us to head out early to go to Big Walker because it looked like the better weather was going to be early in the week. Jim welcomed us early to the event and we got ready to fly! That decision turned out well and it was a nice flying day. This time the Early Bird got the WORM! The flight was just over an hour long. One highlight and the reason I decided to go land early was because of a situation with the weather... I encountered a big mean cloud though that lured me in with some nice thermaling under it until it turned into nasty turbulence and "cloud suck". I ran away from the ugly cloud and finally got free of the beast. Fun flight and I learned something, it doesn't get any better than that!
