Love seeing the different places. From what I understand you have to find a certain amount of pull tabs/bottle caps to have enough "karma points" to find a gold ring. LOL 😆 I haven't made enough "points" yet to get lucky for a gold ring karma yet. Thank you for sharing your adventures.

Hi Gin. The Beaches here in western Washington state are The complete opposite. Totally loaded with iron and junk. Nice finds, see you on the next one.
It’s amazing how different it is from beach to beach. The Louisiana beach had way more rusted iron and industrial junk. Charleston had soooo much foil. 🤦🏼♀️
Offseason does have a lot to do with it because there are a ton of people who hunt those beaches may wanna try cherry grove or surfside area above and below those dont get hunted as aggressively. Make sure you go to Hamburger Joe's for lunch one of the best local places you will find
Just a friendly tip - focus on putting your coil right along the sand/ground. Try to brush the surface if you can. Otherwise you're losing potential depth that the detector is reading down in to the ground because the coil is already 6 inches up in the air based on your current form. Good luck out there!
I just came back from Myrtle Beach. Spent two weeks mostly between Springmaid and 2nd Ave piers. Found 7 rings. Two were gold with diamonds, the others were costume. But i also dug about $30 in change and probable a gallon jug full of bottle caps and pull tabs. I had to dig everything because the rings were all iffy signals.
Hi Gin We love you MD adventures and just want to make a suggestion. We have been away from the hobby for too many years and still have a White 5000 obsolete detector. If you would discuss at the beginning of your videos the type detector and other tools and their benefits for the terrain being searched. Some detectors won't work at the beach as well as others etc. You would help us newbies .🙂🙂

I look at everything from an investment standpoint. I'm 58 years old, a Garret AT Pro is roughly $750, your metal detector is slightly higher. If I break even it will take me the rest of my life if them? Hadn't you rather spend the remainder of your life sipping boat drinks in St. Somewhere? I know that I had so I had considered buying one for the farm but that's out. If you want to detect a 100 acre farm in Rhea CO. Tn. let me know. I don't know what's been on it if anything? I do know it's never been detected in my life time.
Ha, well sort of. I definitely want to visit all the St. Somewheres, but only so I can explore them thoroughly and detect the beaches for treasure. 😜. About the only time I relax with a drink is if I’m absolutely exhausted or really absorbed in a good book. I love adventure and always want to see what’s around the next bend, or find the next bit of excitement. Since my TH-cam channel is a business, my equipment purchases are write offs. It works out pretty well.🙂

I generally do several miles of walking in each session, so it’s great exercise and you definitely work up an appetite.🙃🍀
