    Acetone is also used as a solvent for Acetylene in Acetylene tanks. Pressurized Acetylene gas is dangerous due to the less stable triple carbon bond

    Thank you I have a question how many electrons does acetone have isn't it 24 if thats true then why is it AX3 when the oxygen has two pair of electrons that are not bonded ???? Please help me

    Quick question, I tried separating a mixture of water and methanol using freezing point, I cooled the mixture to -15 degrees Celsius and still the mixture remained a liquid, , what do you make of this?

      You're not cold enough. Remember to make the container airtight.
      Either way. Freezing isn't a very good way to seperate the two. Freezing will also seperate everything differently. Distillation is whay you should do. You can freeze it, but you better be able to hit -50°C. But creating environments that cold for a peocess that's not going to do what you want isn't practical...
