Infantry Recruitment: UPDF to recruit officers aged 18-22

UPDF RECRUITMENT
The UPDF is slated to conduct mass recruitment of regular forces for the infantry beginning in July this year.
Individuals aged 18-22 are urged to apply, obtain recommendations from their Local Councils (LCs), and must have completed Senior Four between 2020 and 2023. Ivan Kaahwa reports that the exercise will include direct recruitment into the UPDF.
The UPDF has announced the recruitment of a regular force, with the exercise running from 1st July to 14th July 2024. The aim is to recruit 9,627 soldiers into the infantry nationwide.

Aspiring candidates are required to present recommendations from their Local Councils, an original National Identity Card, and must be Ugandan citizens to participate in the exercise.

Members of the public are urged to submit their applications to the RDCs in their respective districts from 27th May to 2nd June.

Shortlists will be posted at the RDC offices between 17th and 23rd June 2024, indicating those who qualify to join the army. These individuals will then proceed to designated district headquarters for further interviews.
