Chatper 4 has kinda felt like an anime filler episode. Hope that the story picks up again and actually affects the maps instead of only getting map updates every season.
I think in a way, that's somewhat the point. People kept complaining about the fact the same characters kept playing a role in the storyline so Epic removed the Mainline characters during Chapter 4. People also miss the OG Chapter 1 days when the Storyline wasn't such a huge focus so what does Epic do? Cut back on the story and keep it to just enough to keep the seasons going...
Fuck the storyline when we had such a beautiful map in Chapter 4 season 1 it felt like a whole different game with the hammers and augments and with the unreal engine 5 update. I couldn’t care less about the story when the gameplay was just that good tho whole chapter (except season 3)

But I do think that since Storyline fans are such a minority in the community, it makes sense to cut back on stuff for the storyline and keep it to just enough to help transition into future seasons/ chapters...
We change the past, slight things change, like we’ve seen in the teasers there are new variations of old skins mixed together. Might be a side effect of the time traveling.
I miss the chapter 1 and 2 days where they actually had consistent map changes every update, even if it was tiny like adding new objects and moving trucks. That meant we got more videos from you
I think they stopped doing little easter egg type map changes to further focus on the actual main game. Instead of irregular updates of irregular size, we got regular map changes in Chapter 3. But people kept complaining they weren't big enough so now we get HUGE map changes at the START of the season with little to none during the season because they already did all the work at the start.
Hey Adam, once we return to Season X you should cover the hut watch at the destroyed Rec Center/Football Stadium again. I remember you covering it back in the day, hyped that it was going to be the new hut watch, until it got destroyed in the black hole and never came back again.
I don't even play Fortnite, but I follow the stories and events. When I heard that the heist was a success and Kado Thorne was defeated, I was really confused because I was expecting a playable event or at least a cinematic that showed it all. The entire heist happening off screen and Kado being killed like any other in-game boss are pretty big letdowns. There was SO MUCH that could've been done with the heist premise. The boss fight and event could've transitioned through various locations: like the players and Nolan's Heist Crew breaking into Eclipse Estate and fighting through Kado's defences and then Kado until he's weak enough for the Crew to get into his Inner Sanctum, then escaping with the time machine in cars and driving across the island while fighting off Kado and his minions as they chase after you (Eclipse Estate and The Getaway are pretty close to each other, so maybe the Heist Crew are forced to take the long way around the island to include more areas and make the chase more satisfying), and finally, after reaching The Getaway, the players and Heist Crew fight against Kado for the last time, weakening him enough for Shimmerdusk (a vampire hunter after Kado) to take the final blow, and maybe causing an explosion that knocks the player out. This would lead to an Unplayable Period like past Live Events to prepare for OG. That would've been fun to play out but for any number of reasons, we didn't get anything like that. I hope that doesn't mean anything bad for the future of Fortnite. 🤞🤞

I think like others Slone's main goal is to stop the Rocket which everything from the Seven and the Imagined Order and much more came from it. Or to stop the Zero Point from being destroyed and the Black Hole. Us the Loopers end up back on the Athena Island and slowly start to change things for better and for worst.
In chapter one I didn't have a good enough pc or console to play fortnite but I was still invested in the game becuse of the story and live events. I chapter 2 it was still good and In chapter 3 the story was front and center. But then ch 3 s4 came with the random crome and from there every season dosen't have a live event and every thing is disconnected and random. Really sad to see
i wish i played this season... the skins are cool and seeing the props in the game would be amazing. the birthday and the coral gym too. but welp. college and computer issues.
I noticed that you didn’t mention Ahsoka. I know it is a long time past when this video was released and that Ahsoka herself had little to no effect on the story but I feel like a little acknowledgment was needed but that’s just me (the Star Wars nerd) 🤷♂️

Went back this season and found the base and I still don't understand how I missed that. Also the heist didn't happen off camera. It happened in the trailer.

Here’s my theory: Slone wants to stop The Seven from causing the black hole event. Since Season 5 happened/is happening, 6 all the way to X will happen as is. Zero point exposed. Time rifts or whatever, everywhere. What if her plan is, instead of having the meteor crash into the zero point, she sends it back/forward in time somewhere else. Zero point would obv still be a problem, but you know… I just love the Chp 1 map so much. Lot of memories and so many map updates that made it memorable.
Also one thing I find strange is why can the guards use the elevators and not us I hope in the cinematic trailer for next season we see the big Heist and the defeat of Kado Thorne also I think Jones is in gonna be in the cinematic trailer since he went back to chapter 1
Kado Thorne was killed by shimmerdusk according to the fortnitemares challenges. So the only way we will see him again is if the time machine comes back
