I don’t know if the ranger perhaps knows more about the supernatural than he is letting on or if he just has a very bad gut feeling about them. If it’s the second option I think him and Claire could come to at the very least respect the other for caring so deeply about their home and people. Also I’m a sucker for dominant girls and Beth is already pretty dominant but I can’t wait to find out how dominant the damn alpha is.

Ah, a return to my old, dear friend, the Park Ranger who almost certainly has a conspiracy board by now. Newspaper clippings, red string, the whole works...Diane unfortunately probably has to listen tot hem rant when they get wired up about it. I'm starting to headcannon that Ranger is 100% human, no grand secret or special magic background, but is one of the only humans who has noticed how much of a hotspot Glenwood is. One of those 'right for the wrong reasons' theorists that no one is taking seriously. Good to see there's all the more reasons to keep forcing these two to cross paths, can't wait to see Claire and Ranger's side of a festival this time, though I have a sneaking suspicion it won't be nearly as sugary sweet as Beth and Seer's time together...But maybe a little less hostile than they've been, if we're lucky. Poachers attracted to big game by the deer population...Seer's vision was that they caught the shifters out on a hunt, and the Poachers revealed they knew there were massive wolves around...Do they know what they were going to be trapping out in the woods? Or just greedy for some abnormally large wolf pelts to add to the collection? Neither answer is particularly comforting, but I'll keep my mind open to the possibility that the poachers might be more important than just some minor annoyances in Claire's back yard... Also, if the poachers caught sight of the shifters to know there were wolves around, did the pack fail a massive spot check on that one and not sniff out the nearby humans that could've been watching them? Or did they ignore it and keep pretending to be wolves to not blow their cover? Or did they know/guess that the poacher's know? Not totally clear, Claire likes to be cagey...Especially around Ranger. Definitely not helping the pack's 'shadiness', Claire, and even Beth, and been dancing around a lot of subjects, and while I have more trust in them then someone like Rachelle, they're not helping their case with how flighty they can be... And speaking of flighty and cagey...Oh my god Claire might have a lot of sass but she certainly lacks subtlety. The pack actually has wards set up around their territory which is why Claire was so concerned. Some of the pack have been getting a little adventurous during their hunts and going outside of the ward where they can be noticed. The festival will focus on all the little groups of Glenwood (Beth and Beautiful, Dear with Rosie and Abby, Genevieve and Sweetheart) but Claire will definitely get her time with the Ranger. Enemies to lovers to enemies, you say?? Very interesting. 🤔

My head cannon for why the Ranger in acting like an ass: Ranger's an upity druid who's upset that **anyone's** allowed to hunt the deer on the land he's charged with. Maybe they also feel emberassed that the pack discovered the traps on "his land" instead of him. I am so curious to find out what the hell is Ranger's deal because I really do not like the way that they treat Claire at alllllllll and it's so frustratiiiiing. I have a feeling that like all the other stories there's something deeper going on. I'm interested in the story with this Ranger so far. Enough I'm beginning to wrap my own little ideas about this character and his past. Came across this channel just today and I'm excited for the next installment of the series Did some searching up about the ideas running through my head. And the listener's profession. I'm very curious about the Ranger's additude and why he's being rather, loud about his approach. Maybe he's trying to make her slip up by being so horrendously annoying I like to think the Ranger had a previous career in the military and did a tour in the war on terror. Perhaps even seeing something he wasn't ever supposed to see while in the sand. I feel like that might explain why he's gotten so conspiracy theorist on these new people in town, and his obnoxious behavior around Claire. Also. Assuming he's a Park Ranger. His main job is to enforce the park, its safety regulations and serve as a guide. He has no authority to investigate. Which produces a giggle from me.
