NATO as I understand it, was formed to protect members from aggression and threats from hostile countries. It is not an invasion force. Ukraine is not a member country and therefore NATO has no obligation to it. I hope other countries follow Croatia's lead.

Russians in Ukraine are fighting for independence from Ukraine, which oppresses them. NATO didn't want to help them either, but rather fought against their independence. The Russians helped Croatia in the Homeland War, and today they help their own people. What is not clear?
