  • How to Make Kanda Poha at Home: Easy & Quick Breakfast Recipe | पोहा कैसे बनाते हैं
    Ingredients:
    Poha (flattened rice) - 2 cups (250 grams)
    Oil - 2 tbsp
    Curry leaves - 10 gm
    Peanuts - 50 gm
    Lemon - 1 Lemon (for juice)
    Green chili - 5 (finely chopped)
    Turmeric powder - half tsp
    Mustard seeds - half tsp
    Salt - 1 tsp (or to taste)
    Instructions:
    1. Prepare the Poha
    Take 2 cups of poha, wash it lightly with water, and drain it right away. Don’t soak it-just rinse and let it sit.
    Mix 1 tsp salt (or as you like) into the poha. Keep it aside for 15 minutes, stirring once after 5 minutes.
    2. Roast the Peanuts
    Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, add the peanuts, and roast until they’re crispy. Once done, remove them and set aside.
    3. Cook the Poha
    In the same pan, add 1-2 tbsp oil and let it heat. Add mustard seeds and let them pop.
    Turn down the heat, then add chopped green chili, turmeric powder, and curry leaves.
    Add the prepared poha to the pan, and stir everything gently for 2 minutes.
    4. Finish and Serve
    Squeeze half a lemon over the poha, mix, and turn off the heat.
    Serve on a plate, garnish with sev, roasted peanuts. You can place a lemon wedge on the side if you like more lemon flavor.
    Tips:
    Thick poha is best for this recipe as it won’t become mushy.
    Skip peanuts if you don’t like them, or use already roasted ones if you have them.
    Adjust the chili according to your taste; if making for kids, you can leave it out.
