The North(Rahu) and South(Ketu) Nodes of the Moon, are the two karmic points in the horoscopes indicating the main areas of work you have to do in this incarnation in order to move forward. When they are together in the same sign with any planet, it becomes very important in one's life. If you follow what these indications are, you can really progress much faster and save yourself further pain.

I was born on a Lunar Eclipse with the Moon on my NN and the Sun on my SN. I was extremely emotional when I was younger. But when I found out that I was 'just' absorbing all the emotions and energies around me, esp because a lot of people don't want to deal with their own emotions, I started to master my emotions. Since I have Saturn in the 4th house, it's my 'duty' to master my emotions and to stay focused on my own emotions without absorbing the ones of others anyhow .

Rahu and Ketu are the north and south nodes-I just very much like their eastern myth names that is why I use them as Rahu and Ketu-north and south node sounds too technical..looses the mystery :)

I have Moon with the Ketu in the same house different sign 11 degree apart. I 'm aware that I withhold my feelings since age 38. It caused me stomach pain when I saw my friend in the hospital. I became aware that this is because I withhold my emotional pain. I was not able to feel the pain or upset in my heart but in my stomach and through my stomach it started to hurt . I have done a lots of EFT. Emotional freedom technic and it brought out a sea of tears from my past.

I have Ra and Mo in the same degree in Aquarius, 5th house. I agree with you, it is not an easy one to handle... With age and understanding of astrology, I became better with controlling my emotions, especially depression. First it was even hard to imagine how it is to be in control of your emotions rather then letting them control you. I always try to avoid very stressful or emotional situations because they throw me off balance. Thanks for the video and additional tips, I'll try them out )

In your case the ruler of the North node is with the Sounth node, so it flips the meanings of the nodes. The mission in your life which you have to do, is Rahu but its ruler is with Ketu, so you need to continue to focus on the Ketu house(10th house-career, productive actions in life, active in the world)

Hi your sun is really close to the north node though out of sign, but I think you will definitely feel it too! Also any planets in the same sign as your North node will need special attention as they will feel it! it is a very important incarnation for you if you have so many planets close to the north node! depends on how well Jupiter fairs in the different divisional charts in your horoscope. My Jupiter antarasharas are way worse than my Rahu ones, because Jupiter is poorly disposed in my chart. But Rahu gave me a lot of success and outer worldly achievements, but not peace of mind nor inner happiness

Hi i would not consider Ketu with the Moon in Gemini to be in your first house or having much effect on it. Out of the sign is like trying to affect sth through a wall. it is in the 2nd house from Ascendant so it will feel like being in the 2nd house. U learned to control your emotions and material circumstances in past lives. Managing tightly your resources, being self sufficient, might become less satisfactory or impossible until you learn to ask for help, be emotionally open for support ..

Mad is extreme but if you are a woman, (male project that energy through the women in their life) you will be more prone to more extreme emotional reactions, unless the Moon is a Great friend friend own or exalted sign-which will harmonize you more or if you have planets in the signs before or after the Moon which balance the Moon much more

Ketu conjunct Moon here… Wowweewowoww I put off understanding my emotions for the first 26 years of my life and I’m being forced to be more in tune and not suppress them. It’s crazy how I’m always looking for a deeper emotions/motivations with others as Lada said, but not investigating and fully feeling and acknowledging my own emotions. Or at least I used to, trying to change that now.
Hi Lada, just wanted to propose a different possibility that the North Node, Rahu, and South Node, Ketu, might actually function. Before I write anymore, I just want to say that you are one of the best and I think Ernst Wilhelm is one of the best teachers of "Zodiacal Astrology", as he likes to call it, of our current time. I am not writing this to express that I think you are wrong or to insult your teaching or to be arrogant or anything like that. I actually agree and resonate completely with pretty much everything I have learned from you about my chart and others charts I know. Thank you so much for this, it is a really generous and selfless thing you are doing to share your knowledge with all of us and I know how good it feels to do similar things, since I am similar to you in many ways. Anyway, I have been studying Astrology on my own, almost everyday (except for a few days lol), for the past 4-5 years now, so I have gained a lot of knowledge. I know most Astrologers and maybe even you as well, would completely disagree with what I am about to propose as a possibility. It took me a while to understand why I was sometimes feeling a bit restless and ever so slightly irritated when listening to or reading about how to utilize and function with Rahu and Ketu in a chart. It just dawned on me suddenly, the "Aha" moment that we have all felt from time to time in our lives (especially if you have a lot of Uranian energy, like I know you have and me as well). I was remembering how I functioned on a daily basis when I was a young girl still living with my parents and realized that Rahu and Ketu are not being understood correctly. Its not their meanings, but it is the way almost everyone agrees they are to be used to function for us. I have Ketu in Pisces, 4th House, and Rahu in Virgo, 10th House, with Saturn (R) in the 10th as well. Even though I was bullied and harassed daily at school everyday by my peers, my life was actually flowing pretty smoothly and I felt pretty good and was able to cope with the torment of each day because I had everything I needed, as far as comfort and stability and structure. I was able to throw off my hurt from the day when I got home because I felt good when I was home. I must tell you though, I was not only utilizing my Ketu in Pisces, 4th house, placement, I was also using my Rahu in Virgo, 10th house, placement just as equally. I took long bubble baths almost everyday, loved sketching and doing artistic things, always did my homework (even if I had to stay up real late to finish it correctly), went mountain biking almost everyday and worked out for an hour every morning before getting ready for school, my room was obsessively organized (and my Mom had nothing to do with this) to the point that my junk drawer was even organized and my clothes were in order by colour and season, whether in the closet or the dresser (there are tons more examples I could give of both the nodes being used everyday, but I think I will stop there, unless you want me to list them later for your own research, like a case study or something). So from just remembering back on this, I realized that Rahu and Ketu are in opposition, and being in opposition, as is tradition, shouldn't they be used together and balanced like it is recommended to do for any opposition. I didn't know about Astrology charts or any of this stuff back then, yet I was instinctively using Rahu and Ketu both when I was a little girl and up until my Dad died and i lost my balance and everything fell apart. I have still not healed completely yet and am struggling from other domino effects that came after, but I am slowly getting stuff back together, even if it is just my mind and emotions to star with atm. Please let me know what you think of this and if you can remember this happening for you or anyone else. It is definitely something to consider and think about and wont hurt to explore. Maybe you could even try it to see if your life and the energies of your daily life improve or uplift, because I know you would notice if they did. u r right on Juliana! it is an opposition and we vascilate between the comfort of ketu and the excitement and turbulence of rahu. many act with both from the start. But we should not get stuck at either ketu as life becomes stagnant not only rahu as life becomes too unpredictable and turbulent. The magic is to retreat to ketu when we need stability and head back to rahu in moments when we need progress. Usually ppl reach this balance later in life full time but initially these is an less healthy swing from to the other at periods. But u r really spot on!! Thank u for this insightful observation! :)

Thanks for sharing. This has given me something new to think about, and seems like a good way think about Rahu and Ketu. This is especially true when you go through the Mahadasa of Rahu with Antardasa of Ketu. The vacillation between Rahu and Ketu energies is unnerving, during such periods as i'm finding out !

It means you must move on from and conquer all illusions, make sure to avoid getting hooked on weed, trips, alcohol e.t.c face mundane daily reality, don't drift into aimless daydreaming and escapism. Concentrate on being here now, be present. I have the same conjunction in sag in the 7th.

I have North Node, Saturn, and Moon in Virgo second house. I had to learn that I am worthy of income and value myself. I spent the first half of my life begging people to love me and accept me. I eventually walked away from that. I found self-worth. Now I'm 41 and just getting ready to start a business. I had no emotional control. Lol One of the things I had to learn was emotional intelligence.

Woman is AC Aquarius and man is AC Leo.What is the meaning of Rahu conj. with Mars( Woman) goes over Rahu conj. with waxing Moon(Man) in Scorpio ? The axis is 4 to 10 house.
And at the same Synastry waxing Moon (Woman) goes over Venus (Man) in cancer.
Ketu is in taurus debilitated.

Hi Lada, have been trying to learn vedic astrology for a few years now, i'm no great learner but do like your videos, you advised that Ketu represents issues previous life that we need to let go of and Rahu represents desires that you want to fulfil in this life. Could you give me info on liberation in a chart as I read somewhere that Ketu is a very spiritual planet and leads to liberation. so in a sense if Ketu wants us to let go - how do we use Ketu to obtain liberation.
What a blessing! You have characterised my mother to a tee, and helped me understand her better....maybe now I can finally forgive....she was still an awful mess well into her 50s, better after she got rolfed, but still needing lots of growth. Daddy always used to say he kept alcohol out of the house because he thought she could so easily become an alcoholic....she loved and used his airline travel benefits to go to many foreign countries....she was never still, always twitching with nervous tics, ...Daddy saying she would always create drama....and she was receptive to demonic influences - older sister involved in sceances, Ouija board, etc, visitations. My mother said she wished it was happening to her instead of older sister, probably out of a perverted sense of responsibility. She got her wish. Mother attempted suicide within a year of stating this wish (one of the "personalities" my sister evoked with the Ouija board had supposedly committed suicide). That spirit soon invaded the household and my mother's remaining children under her "care." oh my....

What if a man has Rahu conjunct Moon in Pisces by 3 degrees and Jupiter conjunct both of them in his house by around 20 degrees? I heard Jupiter can control Rahu so it doesn't make the native too crazy. I became more stable after 16 when Jupiter reaches his age of maturity.

You are soooo right! My mother has always told me, DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP! It's weird yeah, cos moon rules the mother..I can be quite cold and distant in relationships..hence probably why my ex couldn't handle me lol..I do believe, though, that gemini does have an affect on my physical appearances. I am a taurus ascendant - taurus ascendant- blessed with good looks, medium height, small teeth, thick neck (both which i only have)..but gemini gave me long limbs and a tall structure. Thnks

I have rahu conjunct the moon and venus, both are square pluto and venus is retrograde so these energies are kind of repressed, Im not like you described, Im a capricorn so I used to not show my emotions at all, but now Im not afraid to show them and feel them so I used to attract more emotional and venusian partners, still trying to integrate the qualities of both planets

I have NN conjunct Moon & conjunct the IC...all in Pisces. On the flip side, the SN is conjunct Jupiter, Pluto, Uranus & conjunct MC...all in Virgo.

hi i have a question do you teach vedic astrology or western astrology.Because i check my chart through your calculator and in vedic astrology i'm a sagittarius but in western astrology it's says i'm a capricorn with moon in gemini and leo rising.Besides the nakshatras are used in vedic astrology as far as i know and my sun is in purvashadha's nakshatra which is from 13'20 degree to 26'40 sagittarius not capricorn.

What would you say about someone with Moon, Pluto, & Venus all closely conjunct in Virgo with Mercury also there a bit farther away? It is so hard to understand him sometimes & also accept some feelings of withdrawal or detachment around love. He said he has gotten more and more so this way as he gets older. I have become more spartan as well in terms of lifestyle as I get older (Ketu, conj Saturn at Midheaven) and I have a strong spiritual and metaphysical interests that I tend to feel compelled to share with him. Our charts have a lot of shared aspects and mirroring however, I am so emotional and affectionate...(Moon conj Venus in Scorpio in 2nd opp Mars in Taurus in 8th. BOOM!!!) and bond to others quite easily, but he is very emotionally insightful and calming and able to talk through when I am emotionally upset.
TRUE, he is more practical in associations where I will literally "MOON OVER" someone who makes no sense at all! :(

Scorpio ascendant (with Jupiter) ketu & moon in 6th house , what you think?
you didn't do Ketu conjunct rahu... I gave NN conjunct someone's SN and I am finding little info on the net on it.

Sorry I meant in synastry. When one person's NN is on the partners SN.

Please do a video on ketu pluto conjunction. It seems a very intense dark difficult conjunction.

Hi Lada, I still find myself not relating to the concept of Rahu and Ketu at all. my moon is not is an exalted sign. I like astrology but when it comes to some of the vedic astrology I find it unrelatable.
I have this placement in ascendant Rahu conjunct venus, moon, sun & mercury in Aquarius and I'm actually very balanced emotionally & mentally & expect balance & fairness in all my relationships but I did have emotional ups & downs as a child/teen growing up with an emotionally unstable alcoholic mother
