Bless you kind lady!!! I needed this SOOOO much! You made something completely scary seem like a relatively simple series of steps 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Yes! This helped so much. We followed along for our whole element change process. The major difference was the work we had to do to stretch the elements for our Olympic kiln. That took a good bit of work. I would recommend a headlamp and gloves for this project too. Thanks for all the help- it was much appreciated!

Thank you, very clear and helpful. Note:When the wire pulled out of the connector on you, I remembered that Skutt mentioned folding over the ‘single’ insulated wires to created a double wire before seating into the connector (sized to hold two wires) ensuring a tight fit and hold. Cheers

This is a super well done video covering everything one needs to know about changing kiln elements. Even better as the demonstration model is exactly the same as our kiln. Thanks!

    Dear Nicole.
Since you happen to be replacing elements on an LT-3K SKUTT KILN ,I would very much appreciate if you could inform me on the exact element type ,fit for the above.
This is because I am not sure if it s the KS 818,818WR/181-27/185( OR the-- relevant-- KS 818,818WR/183/183-27/183).
    Thank you
    Vasilis

no visual indication on a display is not an acceptable test for power, you need to use a meter that you have confirmed on another live circuit. there are specialized indicators that are rated for voltage confirmation but just a led numerical display is not
