Right, of course its just a farm. But then its, the one cow that's extra friendly, or its the dog helping out, or its the feeling of finding that hidden drink. Also the occasional 9th generation blog video. It's always FANTASTIC.
As the first buggy was unloading, I thought “That must smell awesome!” - ten seconds later, Eric confirms it does indeed!!!🤣 Enjoy that good working weather 👍🙏🏻🇺🇸🐄
FIVE STARS Great video. So many people working and all goes smoothly. Love the drone shots. Love your concern for other farms around regarding dust. Outstanding farmers.
Back in the early 70's I would help a neighbor do silage in a portable vertical silo. I would help take the corn silage off the wagon with another guy into the blower. We would do this all day and at noon I was fed by the farmer and his wife for lunch, it was always a 7 course meal, great food and great memories. Love how you used the sprayer to minimize the dust, also loved the aerials in the video, thanks for sharing. I hope y'all have a great week, stay safe out there.
His videos never cease to amaze me. The sheer amount of unseen work that famers and dairymen do behind the camera really makes me appreciate what ends up on my plate. Hope you have an awesome day, Eric!
Hi Eric, I just spent the last 3 weeks binge watching all your videos from the beginning 3 years ago. I am now up to date, It has been great watching you work, you are amazing. Yes, I am SUBSCRIBED and gave you a LIKE on every one of those videos. Good Luck, Ken in Rhode Island.
Over 400 thousand subs and it keeps growing. Good for you and your family Eric! Been following your channel for a few years. Love your hard work and care for the animals.👍🐶🐄
Y'all are good neighbors for spraying the road down!! Whew!! Got a LOT going on at once......chopping silage and pouring concrete. You did a GREAT job getting some footage of everything going on that day. I know it wore you out!! Love your videos!!
Wow, I just realized how beautiful your farm is. The drone shots are outstanding !!! Watching your videos makes watching other farm videos leaves me with an unappreciated beauty in your work ethic. I mean that noticing how thoughtful your operation is and your concern for details is a pleasure to observe. Watering the road is an example of your attention to details. Good stuff.
Growing up in Iowa I’ve seen lots of silage bunkers on farms however this is the first time I seen the amount of work it takes to fill up these bunkers. Thanks for sharing.
I enjoy all of the content you produce.... but I think silage chopping and bunker packing is my favorite. So hard to pick a favorite though. This year seems like bumper crop... that last bunker was absolutely stuffed. Looking forward to the fished barn project tour. Thanks for all the good content Eric!
Awesome video Eric. Thank you for the drone shots. I know when the music starts, we are going to see the drone. Thank you for the hard work on the video . The new barn is looking great. Farm is BEAUTIFUL
Hi Eric and dad awesome video you all do lots hard work keeping cows 🐄 happy drone was beautiful landscapes and as always you and your families all be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸
I have to agree with you wholeheartedly... fresh cut (corn) silage is one of the best smells ever. Every time I get a whiff of it, I get taken back to a better time and place. Never fails LOL. Some people call me crazy but I even think that the fermented and ready to go silage smells good as well. There's just something about it.
It’s honestly interesting to see how other farms operate in different states around the US and the dairy farming is a lot more action packed than I thought
Great video Eric! The Versatile looks great from the drone with the orange cab over the red body. Nice tractor. Very inspirational - seeing you wet the lane to avoid the dust kicking up, and while you're spraying the lane you also make sure you're getting out of the way. Colossians 3:13. Thanks!
Really enjoy these videos. Makes me long for the days i was at agriculture college. My only gripe is the videos are never long enough!! Thanks Eric and all.
The sequence with the nearly full bunk and three tractors. Beautiful! A beautiful 360 turn with the action in the bunk and the whole farm laid out beyond. Outstanding drone work.
Thanks for all the different views in the video. Great content. I like the loaner tractor. You probably have a lot of different ways to use it. Concrete looks good also. Stay safe.
Yes that corn does smell good when you're cutting it but it really smells good when it goes pickling that's what we call it in Tennessee doing a great job keep up the good work.
You said silage was in your top five smells. Milk replacer is the best smelling stuff on a farm,in my opinion. Love the smell of powder milk. Never had the courage to taste it though.
That is some nice looking corn! Our corn in NW Iowa is short this year. I help a guy cut and we had corn that ranged from 4ft to probably around 8 ft. Last year we had 14 ft tall corn. I agree, fresh cut sileage that smells so good. Thanks for sharing.
It's crazy to think is this your 3rd or 4th harvest season on TH-cam now? Does not seem like I have been watching your channel for more then 3 years lol. Anyways awesome video as always, we love the harvest videos!
Favourite smell on a Dairy farm is fresh cut grains and straw. Followed by fresh milk from a Guernsey Cow. Much richer and sweeter than a Holstein. I still cant handle the smell of corn to this day. It's 20 years since I was last in a combine.
I love your videos every single video I just love them. Keep up the great work u work hard on video's and the farm. I've been watching u since 2020 corn harvest. Love the videos man👏
When we put plastic on our walls we put a couple buckets of corn silage in or feed wagon and unload it right against the plastic keeps it nice and tights and don’t have to wait for the custom guy to get there
It’s amazing watching those guys run those choppers. The way they can hit the carts when they are behind them is crazy. I bet it takes a lot of years to be that good. Looks like they are close to being done with your barn extension. I know you will be happy to have the extra space. Did you say the tractor you are demoing came from Pennsylvania? Is you farm located in Pennsylvania also? I live in southwestern Pa and didn’t know if the dealer was close to where I lived. Great video.
Would be really cool to mount a time-lapse camera to the end of the new barn addition and watch the entire harvest as the bunker fills up!
Just wanted to say. Don't ever think your content is repetitive in any way. Been looking forward to corn season all year. Have a good one
Right, of course its just a farm. But then its, the one cow that's extra friendly, or its the dog helping out, or its the feeling of finding that hidden drink. Also the occasional 9th generation blog video. It's always FANTASTIC.
YES!!! I love watching corn chopping. Wishing I could smell it too. Eric, the drone shots + great music = ❤️ video

3:30 freshly chopped corn silage smell. I could smell it when you said that, and I one hundred percent agree. Great video, thank you.
Your contribution to our way of life is so important. Practically beyond mere words. I truly hope you and all the people involved realize this.
His videos never cease to amaze me. The sheer amount of unseen work that famers and dairymen do behind the camera really makes me appreciate what ends up on my plate. Hope you have an awesome day, Eric!
I love your drone shots when you’re cutting corn because it’s a great perspective of the work PLUS the absolutely awesome music!!
The absolute amount of support and work needed just so I can have the convenience of a cold glass of milk is mind boggling.

Concrete floor looks really good. Starting to look like something. 👍
I love harvest time. It's the kickoff of the beginning of fall.🍁🍁🍁

Awesome video and drone view was great and with horse and cart in back ground, and new part of shed looking good.

I wish I could live next to corn and dairy farms
I really wish there was a smell option while watching these videos. 😂 I agree corn silage is one of the best.
Me too!

I don’t know what it is about watching the chopper do it’s thing but it always impresses me.

Watching the corn harvest from above makes me feel very comfortable
Looking good. Nice job. The clear plastic really helps seal the top.
I appreciate the uploads! I love watching yalls farm through the ups and downs. Blessings to you all!
The tyres make a zeros when filmed from the air. Quite decorative
Looking really good Eric love the harvest videos, and also the property improvement ones
That is so thoughtful! The dust on our dirt road is a problem! I get it! How nice!
we just started chopping today too! hope all goes well for you guys, keep up the great videos eric
Always love your harvesting videos so amazing 👏 and corn silage has such a good smell to it too 👌
I agree nothing like the smell of new fresh corn silage as a new cut hay
Great memories
For not having any irrigation that is some awesome corn crop you have there!
Loved the continuous drone shot starting at about 9:30.
Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Your process is like a well oiled machine. Great job.
Really interesting video today. Barn will be so much bigger to house all the animals. always love the aerial views. Thanks
You have the old fashioned work ethic that I remember when was growing up 👌👌👌

It tastes terrible! I haven’t liked the smell of it since…don’t ruin the smell by trying it!😉
@@jeeveswooster6922 I'll take your advise and just be a smell partaker of the powered milk🤣🤣
Great day on farm!!!! Lots going on! Enjoyed

Top quality silage making, good to see. NZ farmers can learn a lot from this😉
Wish I could have smelled that with you, Eric. It really does smell great. I may have even chewed on some silage a time or two as a kid. 🤣
great video. well done getting the harvest in and covered
The smell of fresh cut corn silage is the best!!

Yes, looks amazing. SaskDutchKid has a clean farm too. The calf barns are wonderful.

We used formid acid as a preservative, but that was 20 years ago and in grass silage. Good to see the development. Formic Acid is nasty stuff.
I could watch this all day
Great video, drone shots just awesome.
awesome whole corn plant chopped & stored in bunker for fermentation & good inoculant spray for bacterial growth & fermentation #❤️👍
It’s absolutely drilled down with rain last time we were sheeting up. Such a grim job in bad weather!
I really like your farm and I like your video a lot. I'm watching from Thailand.
Hard work! Love it man! Good stuff and content
Congratulations 400k. Man that's awesome
Nice drone work!
