The first time I saw Brian McKnight live was in 1992 in Hartford,CT. A jazz artist was to perform, but didn’t show up. So a lame comedian performed. So flat, but out comes this young man with nothing but a keyboard. He began to play and sing, touching me so deeply I began to cry. My friend repeatedly asked me was I ok. I couldn’t explain, but finally told her the music was so just so pure and beautiful. I purchased his first CD and lay on the floor listening and reading every word in the lyrics, many of them he wrote. Over the years, he has delivered some incredible ballads. I’m so glad Brian McKnight has delivered this incredible ballad. I’ve listened to this song twice, and now I’m about to get on the floor to listen again and again. ❤️
