I mean my influences were guys like: EVH, Randy Rhoads, Aldrich, Beach, Nuno, Jake E Lee, Mark Kendall, Tom Keifer, Michael Sweet, Vito Bratta, Stevie Blaze, Steve Stevens, Jason Becker, Paul Gilbert, Andy Timmons, Brent Woods and the list goes on.. And most are not like superstar household names like Vai or Satch, EVH etc. might be. But still all looked up to and revered as great guitarists.

Why are so many people saying this is their guilty pleasure and this band is so "cliché"? It has amazing melodies to go along with great musicianship. So it has a definite 80's feel to it, but this is something that rock has been needing for awhile, and that's to just make you feel good. True rockers will go out cranking this, because it has never been about worrying what others think and just staying true to yourself!
yea this is fucking great. And i like everything from rush to tesla to black and death metal. The 80's metal gets shit on endlessly and no one even takes a second to listen to it. Steel Panther are no help either, they are just making fun of good bands and making money off it. I know young kids who say i like glam metal , my favorites are steel panther, crue and poison. And i am blown away and say hey kids, first of all glam metal is a derogatory term that means those bands were all style and no substance. Secondly don't put steel panther in the same category as classic 80's bands.

Deen slamming on the drums as always, Doug shredding away and Blake mixing it all together on the bass. It's the first time Deen really gets to showcase exactly what he can do vocally. Fantastic record. 5 stars.

Every single hook perfectly placed and I love every single cliche 80's hook of every note of this song. It's about time somebody writes a song that uses melodic majors (GASP!). So sick of hearing what's on the radio since 1992 - this breaks the mold and I'm happy it finally made it through.

Deen is amazing, monster drummer and incredible voice. These 3 guys are awesome. Wasn't sure about this song at first but it really grows on me. Watch how Deen laughs at the end of this. These guys love music and they're having a great time.

I love this song, the harmonies just work....Deen is a very good singer, and Jack Blades is a songwriting machine....Doug Aldrich left a very well paying place in Whitesnake for this, so I expected something excellent, and with this, I got it! I love Frontiers Records for giving older artists a place to continue to make music that matters, though I do wish they would spend a little more money on their videos...

No need for anything new, this brings back a classic AOR sound thats lacking in alot of new releases from classic Rock bands. This is like a cross between Journey and Night Ranger. This is one of the best songs I've heard in a long time. And I've allways enjoyed Deans vocals live with Journey especially on Mother Father, so for him to be drumming and singing lead vocals is something special.
If anyone finds something wrong with this, ....... This is music at its finest. Pure melodic hard rock. Nothing else matters. everything else was discovered through HAIR METAL! These guys are super talented
Jack Blade is a good guy and I'm glad to see him expanding his talent. Love this combo so much. I can't believe how much Deen Castronovo sounds so much like Steve Perry when he sings. Totally blew me away on that one song they did.

I've seen JSS perform as Journey's lead singer, but they still had Deen singing the more technically difficult songs. Both were very good, but Deen really stole the stage. As far as moving beyond 1981...they've tried but nobody seems to want to listen. Asshole "fans" sit down and scowl when they play anything produced in the last 20 years. All anybody wants to hear is the "classic" stuff so they play to that crowd. It's a shame, because they could do so much more but nobody wants to listen.
+Robert bishop He's on probation for domestic violence, including rape of his ex-fiancee. It was all fueled by a an alcoholic relapse and pill addiction (from back surgery, and trying to work again too soon, leading to the pill addiction to get through the pain.) He seems better now, thank God.
A cross between Journey, Night Ranger, Damn Yankees and Whitesnake - how awesome is that? I hear a lot of the Jack Blades song writing style here and love Deen's Perry-esque vocals. Love it, guys!

Dang Castronovo can sing. He should've taken over singing for Journey the closest you'll get to Steve Perry. His drumming is stellar.
