Wrangler: Good selection most of those films I never heard of. One excellent overlook: Border Law with Buck Jones, Lupita Tovar and Jim Mason ( not the English actor). It had several interesting elements. 1: It’ was remade a year later as Whistling Dan with Ken Maynard and 3 years later with Jones as The Fighting Ranger. I saw both Jones versions. It has to be the fastest remake with the same star in history. 2: Border Law cast a Mexican actress ( Lupita) as Mexican Tonita and you can tell the difference between her and non Mexican Dorothy Revier in The Fighting Ranger.
Crazed German entomologists?? (Border Phantom). I've got to try to see that one! :) These type films remind me of all the films I will never see -- and all the people who made them possible (cast, crew, extras) whom I may never know. For some reason, that saddens me....

Nice list. “Border Treasure” stars Tim, not Jim, Holt, btw. I consider Tim’s RKO westerns to be a cut or two above most others’.
What about Rough Riders Roundup with Roy Rogers?
Border River, another McCrea movie I like. Major Dundee is a border story but I reckon it's not a rare one.
