    Quite a big difference between RAW and JPEGs. And it's interesting how you get some distortion in RAW images. Very educational! Thanks! 👍👍👍

      Thank you. The RAW files I did edit to give them the look I wanted. However, it’s true that the camera does do some heavy correction by cropping in quite a bit. I do like the RAW distortion on the Canon Ixus 100 IS though

    Hi, I have Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS model and i also wanted to install chdk to my camera. I found a video about installing and it says after the all process for sd card, (downloading chdk files, copying into sd card etc.) to run chdk on the camera, i have to open the camera by pressing viewing pictures button not "turn on/off" button. But i could not do it. How did you install chdk to your camera ? Also, If you followed the same steps with me, which button did you press to run CHDK ?

      For the 100 IS it’s the play button to access the menus but for me CHDK loads automatically. I used the CHIMP utility to follow the process to create a bootable card

    Hi! Did you have any issues hacking it? I have the sd1400 (ixus 130) and followed the step by step guide and can’t make it worked.

      Hi, I think my hacking went well. There’s some unexpected behavior with certain button presses but aside from that it works well. I used a utility recommended in the instructions to create the sd card with the firmware.

    Could you do a CHDK firware download tutorial please ?

      So I had scripted and pretty much shot a video tutorial based around the CHIMP utility because I’d used twice successfully to create CHDK-coded SD cards, and aside from making a tutorial video being time consuming, I also did one final test and it didn’t work. So I didn’t release the video because I couldn’t troubleshoot it. Additionally, I am not affiliated to the CHDK community so I cannot provide support for the hack. However on TH-cam commenters tend to expect support no matter what, on top of that CHDK is highly camera model dependent and the instructions too. In any case my tutorial would only be relevant to the Ixus 100 IS and not other models. A nuance that I can’t expect the average commenter to understand, so even if I figure out a “reliable” way to do it, can I trust that viewers will be able to follow instructions correctly, understand the risk of breaking their camera even if they do everything correctly or will they expect me to do unpaid tech support work through comment responses? Do I need the hassle? I think with hacks like CHDK it’s a personal journey of discovery, trial and error and persistence … and you come out changed through the trials and tribulations … either successful or humbled

    How can i transfer photos to my laptop

    • @Mamotreco
      @Mamotreco  ปีที่แล้ว

      using an SD card reader. After turning off the camera, wait 5 seconds and then remove the SD card. Your photos will be in a folder called DCIM. If you are using CHDK make sure you leave one RAW file in the folder before removing old fotos.
