Love my fishing but it does my head in how other anglers turn up and tell you how to fish and how they’ve had umpteen fish from this peg and that peg and you need this bait and that bait. I take advice from people that are on the bank and actually catching and share each others experiences that way.
Many of them are bullshitters who hardly ever fish. Then there are other types (usually carp anglers), who insist on demystifying all waters, by telling you the sizes and names of all the fish they have caught recently. They will tell you all about the biggest fish in the lake and often try to belittle your own catches. They completely miss the point that many of us go fishing for peace (away from morons like them) and enjoy the mystery and challenge of a water, and enjoy fishing for different species. It is not a competition and I really don't give a shit what others have caught recently, or how many times "the big f******* has been out recently".
I fish a river a similar size to that and the chap is spot on, over-feeding will kill a swim. A sizeable hook bait with a handful of meat fragments or pellets is preferable.
Shame not to catch on that session but that's how it goes and hope the hdaa stretch of the Wye does you well it's not been fishing to great for the barbel atm from what I've seen and heard but hopefully you can
I love listening to other anglers on how they do and don't catch them. Starts at one end with useful info and at the other end is total comedy BS. Brilliant.
He’s not wrong through it’s been rammed there the last month. I was there Friday and there must’ve been 15 swims taken. Don’t believe a single fish came out. Although worrying not even getting taps or chub / perch. Re the locked gate - the lady who ran it passed away recently.
Hi Adam love the vids mate We run a catfish social group and wondered if you would like to join us one weekend we would love you to film all meals are provided and trophies to be won
Good to see you’re human 👍🏻. Tight lines
That old boy was 100% right about avoiding fishing on weekends
Ah, Master of fishing knowledge turned up. Can't just be.. hello, hope you catch loads, pleased to meet you, bye 😅

60% are free fishing
nice one and in the book it tells u who to pay or if u can pay on the banking I want to try a few of your spots lol
Did you try maggots, expensive for barbel as 5 pints would be a min if big numbers of silvers are around
