Sorry for the late :D, he is a very hard boss to do no dmg. Took me quite sometime to learn his moves and dodges. I really enjoyed fighting him :D. P/S: Updating the subs.
kuro now really make the differentiation between A and S rank. the S rank is where they go unga bunga with their moveset, and A rank where kuro make some experimental gameplay
Jesus Louise, even on the 3rd Difficulty of Boss mode (which is 1 level lower than the story mode fight), he managed to snag 3 hits on me with that phase 2... how the hell
Cradle herself might not have gone full psycho mode, during story there are times when the Cradle part reflects on her appreciation for human art. But she was a puppet under the control of Agent 0. That's the main antagonist of this chapter. Nugget was the GOAT of that story. He was helping out cmdr and Lucia all the way. Nugget fight isn't usual, simple good vs bad fight, it comes from each partys diffrent ideas how to deal with the one problem they all wanted to be fixed. They had similar goal, but diffrent plans to realize it. During one of dialogues after this fight(he survives this and lets cmdr and Lucia go) it's revealed that at any point he could have ended Lucia without a fight, because all throughout the chapter he had authority over the Tower to "kick her out"(which would kill her)- he just chose not to.
Wall of text warning. Also, spoilers. It's happening in the place called "the tower". I will omit the part about interactions between commander and Nugget, there was a lot of back and forth between them when they were deciding how to resolve the issue they had at the time(timelines, time travel stuff, heroes rewinding time when they fail but have limited attempts). Time goes differently inside the tower, and during the story Lucia spent 30years defending one rift from waves upon waves of enemies, but her new frame(with so called Omega Core) allowed her to fight so long and keep coming back despite of seemingly fatal wounds(ingame mechanic, she keeps standing up after "dying" with full HP). Then she got sent to different realm, where she spent wandering empty, mist filled space for unknown amount of years. Cmdr convinced nugget to go along with cmdrs idea. Nugget agreed for the most part, but warned about unforseen consequences of cmdrs idea. They managed to get Lucia back, all teamed up, dealt with immediete danger, then nugget decided to force cmdr to do what nugget wanted all along. Lucia says no, hence the fight above commences. After the fight nugget, still alive but severly weakened, agrees to do what cmdr proposed. (he's really tired at that point, and other dialogue states that nugget could have killed Lucia outright because of his mastery over the enviroment they are in, he just chose not to, the fight was the result of conflicting ideas how to apporach the problem they were in, and nugget accepted cmdrs plan after all). Lucia and cmdr leave the tower, but the unforseen consequences Nugget alluded to occur- they don't come back to the time they entered the Tower initially, they end up way way into the future. Additionally, right after they exit the tower- Lucias frame breaks up, her Omega Core melts. Turns out, she was able to keep coming back into the fight in the tower, because time flows differently there. But after exiting the tower, all those years spent inside fighting and wondering mist realm, all the damage and strain catches up to her. They both realize- she is dying. And she knew about that outcome, it's one of the endings she saw for herself when she was rewinding time every time they failed. She consciously decided to not tell cmdr so he would agree to her plans along the way, which turn out all had his survival as priority. As for the timeline: At that stage, they learn from from some named characters who stayed behind: SHTF(past tense), bunch of characters died in the process, babylonia went off into space, only arctic regions hold human population. They try to fix Lucia, but got no resources for that at their place. The road to arctic regions to find people able to maintain frames will take too long, she wont make it. They go looking for Lucias Plume frame because it's supposed to be left by Asimov behind for that exact reason, they dont find it, only a specjal coating Ayla made for her- back then when they were preparing to enter the tower. Coating was meant for celebration when Lucia and cmdr come back. (its the black coating you might see in promo videos for that chapter) Cmdr and Lucia know they got final hour, minutes even before she passes away. She dons the coating to cover her damaged frame. They confess to each other, say their goodbyes. Lucia passes away in cmdr arms, at literal dawn. Other named character that was assisting them during that search is going back to them, hears strange noise in the open streets- like someones crying. Finds cmdr holding Lucias body, singing the out of tune "froggy song" that Lucia liked. Cmdr reflects on the road ahead of him, since he promised to everyone: babylonia, Lucia, nugget- that he WILL find a solution to get everything fixed, and now it includes the timeline itself, with seemingly no real support. The end.

@@helmiboboy it's not even just "a third time". Somewhere in 3rd chapter she is recollecting her memories of all the other timelines/endings she was in but had to reset. She died bunch of times to nugget and other causes, other times finished the mission but died out of fatigue right outside of the tower(again, that ties to her "least amount of losses" ending she gaslighted cmndnt into), got stuck in the mist realm and simply withered away(mist realm is corrosive in the long run or smth) because she had no way of going back(aside from doing the hard reset). Aaaand in bunch of others she saw commandant die untold amount of times. Her omega core might as well have melted just because of all the PTSD she got during that "mission". Lore wise, that was a torture for her and it might as well been literal hell.
patch is currently avaible "only" for CN. During fight there are bits when Chinese voices are being played(mostly cutscenes), but Japanese voices for combat sections can be turned on. It's still Yui Ishikawa, i think the slight change in voice is meant to show the passage of time for Lucia(aging of sorts), out of and inside of that chapter. Or maybe VA had sore throat/cold or faulty microphone when she was recording the lines, who knows. ;p
